George Weasley walked throughout Hogwarts, staring into outer space, trying to rekindle the memories they still had left.
He had left.
"George? Mum wants us to go home" he whipped his head towards his younger brother, Ron, as he stepped over a fallen wooden door.
"Tell her I'll be there in a bit" George said.
Ron nodded.
He knew that George was in unbearable pain.
He was too.
Losing a brother was hard, but losing your other half?
Anything you say could lead to a breakdown.
George stopped in front of a door.
Well secret passage.
It opened before him.
The Room of Requirement.
The room they used to train.
A sickening feeling overcame George.
A voice drew him over to a mirror.
"The mirror of Erised" his lengthy fingers danced upon the boarder of the mirror, staring straight into it.
"They say it shows your heart's greatest desire" a voice behind him said.
"You scared me, Angelina" he commented, his gaze never leaving the mirror.
"What do you see?" George asked her.
"I see Fred and I, happy with a little boy who looks exactly like him" she answered.
George's heart pounded at the mention of his twin brother.
He knows it's always going to be like that.
The pain.
"What about you?" Angelina spoke up after a moment of silence.
"Nothing" he looked deeper into the mirror.
All he saw was his reflection.
"Really?" she was gawked.
He just nodded.
Was it himself that was his heart's greatest desire?
"Impossible" she remarked, "Unbelievable."
All George could do was nod.
His throat was dry, and there was nothing left to say.
"I better get back, Alicia's probably waiting for me. See you around Fred."
With one word, she realized she had made a grave mistake.
"Bye George" she quickly caught her slip up, but there was no turning back.
Angelina hustled herself out of the room.
George picked his eyes up from the ground, taking on last look at the mirror.
Alicia was lying.
This was a regular mirror.
But to George, every mirror was the Mirror of Erised.
