Nico's POV:

I was so close to banging my head on a tree. I need to get my feelings straight. I think I might have a crush on Percy. You like him. His smile is amazing. The way he laughs. Wouldn't you love to kiss him? Voices would say. GET OUT! NO YOU DON'T! He'd say back. In love with your best friend, huh? You suck! I could even feel tears coming up. I covered my ears and walked home.

On my way home, I ran into Jason. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked. "Umm, nothing. Just personal stuff." "You can trust me." he said. "I can't figure out my feelings. That's all. And I'm not saying anything other than that." I said angrily. "What? It's not like it's a guy!" he said. I looked at him like he was insane. "Oh, it is, isn't it." He asked. "Even worse, it's Percy." I said. Oh shit. I had told him. "Really? He thinks that you hate him!" He said. "I wasn't supposed to tell you that, so please don't tell him. People already treat me like I'm a fucking monster, and this will make it worse." "Well, I won't even bring it up. Nico, you're gonna have to tell him." He said apologetically, and walked away.

When I got home, I had mail from Percy. It read:

Nico. Why the fuck do you hate me? What the actual fuck have I done for you to hate me? For whatever reason, I'm sorry.

-Percy.

I cried at this for about five minutes. He thinks that I hate him! It's the complete opposite, and I don't think I can handle it. I had to write back to him. I took out my phone and called him. "Hello?" he answered. "Hey, umm Percy I don't hate you. I know, I'm off to a fast start… But I honestly don't hate you." "Oh, thank god! I was about to say. Anyway, I need to talk to you alone." He said. "Percy… Are you that stupid? Ha ha, you are talking to me alone." "No, my parents are around, and you'd probably slap me once you hear this." He whispered. "Then go outside!" "Okay, I'm out in the hallway." "What did you need to tell me?" I asked. "That-that I might be a little um, gay." There was silence for a while. "Hello?" said Percy. "Hi. Who is the lucky guy?" I asked. "You."
