Chapter 1: Reminiscing the Past

AN: Now I know when I originally posted this it was over 5 years ago. But as I progressed in writing the story Things in life changed dratically. So I am re-writing it and I will change a few things along the way.

They were together, him and her, and that was it. They were everything. They were Jude and Tommy. Things were great for the longest time. They did everything together, from recording new duets for her next CD, to going grocery shopping, which Tommy personally hates. But she made it fun. She never thought the day would come but it did, He asked her to move in with him. Then one night while she was asleep he left. They had a major fight that night. She wanted him to ask her to marry him, but he kept telling her that marriage would only ruin what they had. She always thought that she would get too scared to be with him.

I was there when you needed me

She was there the day he found out his mom died in a car accident. He was struggling, trying to get through the pain of losing someone he loved. He kept pushing her away, but deep down she knew he needed her. She knew how she felt for him and knew he was everything, so she let him push. She understood what is like to loose someone close to you, she had lost her grandpa when she was younger. Her grandpa had believed in her before her dad. So when he lost his mom she knew that he needed space but she also knew that she wanted to help him through it. He was it for her. She didn't need for anyone to tell her how she felt or if it was wrong. He was it, the only one for her.

He had known how she felt. She just didn't think he knew how strongly she felt towards him. Now with him gone he would never know just how much she needed him. The night he left, he didn't just leave their apartment he left town, maybe even Canada. He knew she wanted him with her and she knew deep down inside of him, he wanted to be with her too. She knew he had a fear of commitment but she thought he really wanted to be with her, that he had gotten over it.

I'll keep remembering on

Sometimes it is funny how things worked out. She knew that there was always the chance that he would be the same old Boybander she knew him to be. Though she had always held onto the thought of him changing into the man, she knew, he could be. At times he was that man she knew he really was, mainly when it was just the two of them. He had always known she loved him but he never really understood the extent of how much she loved him.

After months of him being gone she had finally told Sadie that she wanted to forget all about him. But she couldn't forget everything they did together. Like the time they blew off work to go to the farmhouse and stay away from everyone, so they could just be together. She was his and he was hers. When they were together they had been magic, at least that was what she had thought.

She never thought he would let go. He didn't when she went on a world tour for a year.

Why can't you see that

She loves Tommy, she really does, always has.

After weeks of finally starting to let go, she decided it was time to record "You're Saying Goodbye". She had written it just days after she realized that he wasn't coming back. Standing in the booth singing her heart out she couldn't help but wonder what she would do if her finally came home. She thought about what it would be like if if he walked through the door right now. She was torn because part of her wanted to wrap her arms around him and tell him she loved him and the other part of her didn't trust that everything would be okay after those words came out.

My first true love

Jude didn't want to let go. He'd been gone for 2 years now but it still felt like yesterday that he left. She had loved him since she was 15. He truly was her first true love and now one can take that away from her, though many had tried to get her to move on.

It seems so simple

He said good-bye when he walked out on her and she let him go as she sat in bed and cried.
