A/N: Okay, so I've written before, but under a different pen name and for Gilmore Girls. I've been watching Bones since it started though and I just sort of randomly decided to write something for it. I actually was intending to write a multi-chaptered fic, but this is what came out. Anyway, since this is my first story, I did my best but it was kind of hard to write for these characters when I'm used to writing Rory and Finn. So, let me know what you think, no flames please.
Disclaimer: Not mine. I can only wish.
They had never been what most people would consider a normal pair, Seeley Booth and Temperance Brennan.
They were a Special Agent and a world-renowned Forensic Anthropologist/Best Selling Author.
They were a man who cared more about his son than anything in the world and a woman who believed that it was wrong to bring children into a world filled with so much turmoil.
They were a devout catholic and a determined atheist.
To most, their partnership was one filled with glares and never ending bickering and battling of the wills.
That was just to most though.
Those who knew them well could see the underlying, deeper feelings that they harbored for each other.
From day one, Angela Montenegro knew that her best friend and the FBI stud were going to be together and it took her five long years to convince Brennan of this fact.
Once Temperance Brennan "saw the light" on their relationship, there was no going back.
There were still days where she worried that things wouldn't work out between her and the man that she knew so well yet had so little in common with.
Seeley Booth was convinced though. Things would work out. They had to. He had every intention of spending the rest of his life convincing Brennan of this.
Because the way he saw it, it didn't matter that he was a Special Agent and she a Forensic Anthropologist/Best Selling Author. It didn't matter that he had a kid whom he loved more than anything in the world and she not only didn't understand that love but also was against having children. It didn't matter that he believed in God and heaven and she believed in science and was convinced that there were no higher beings.
No, it didn't matter. It meant nothing.
All that mattered was that he loved her and she was coming around to the idea of loving him.
All that counted was that despite their other labels, the only ones that mattered were Booth and Bones.
They were Booth and Bones and that meant something.
Thoughts? Comments? Anything?
Oh, and if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes, let me know. This is unbetaed because I was having trouble finding someone to read over it before I submitted it and I was too impatient to wait. So if there are mistakes, let me know and I'll fix them ASAP.
