Author's Note: Hey :)! Since I haven't been able to upload a story last week due to lacking new ideas, today however I have decided to do a story featuring Cloud and Lightning, and I've developed a few ideas for this story that I've already worked on for the past fourteen minutes. So, I hope you enjoy my story :), and happy reading! And yeah, it's short XD.
Transition
Cloud made calm eye contact towards Lightning's eyes as he initiated a conversation as the two of them settle down in soft seats near a metallic silver table at a local lounge, while he sipped a light vanilla coffee. "So Lightning, what's the first thing that comes to your mind when you want to change your life?" He asked, putting his coffee down gently upon the pretty table. Lightning, who's slowly drinking her soy lattle topped with sugar, gulped softly and responded with, "Well, to me, that sounds like an philosophical question you're asking me. Are you that deep?" She said in an sarcastic tone.
Cloud replied back with an 'hmph'. "I'm not always considered to be a 'deep' person. Well, only when the mood strikes. I'm more.. brooding." Lightning chuckled to herself. "I think you probably need to change yourself a little bit more. So you can quit with that brooding of yours and find something else that's a bit more positive." She said in a honest tone, but not actually hurting Cloud's feelings apparently.
"I take your response for that. It seems to sound like you want me to go through a transition.. You know, from brooding over to improvements." Lightning smirked at him, her eyes slightly narrowing at him, and somewhat nodding at him too. "You have to thank me for that, since I was the one who suggested that after that ridiculously insightful question you've asked me."
Cloud snickered a little, since he did found Lightning's answer to be a bit funny yet a bit logical and continued to finish his coffee as Lightning sipped hers, while he managed to smile a little after he's done with his coffee.
