Sam's sitting on the ground, head in hands, and Dean tries to ignore the gentle sobs. The grass is damp and he really wants to get Sammy into the Impala where he can see exactly what damage he's done to himself.
As he draws nearer Dean catches the faint scent of alcohol and frowns. Sam's not a drinker, although god knows the kid's got enough reason to tonight. Dean sighs softly and reaches out to his brother.
"Sam?" he whispers. "It wasn't your fault." And he knows he's getting through when Sam leans into Dean's touch and breaks down completely.
