-Prologue-
.
We are going through a systems war; with once strong and noble systems being plagued by viruses. Viruses that plan to 'corrupt and defeat.' Characters are in danger of having their full energy totally wiped.
I am Celframe, my format is Guardian. As a serving guardian I am sent out to protect the net, systems, characters and cities; I was send by Avast of Guardian Command along with my partner Immunet to this place Main-Frame, to follow the guardian code 'mend and defend.'
To defend my new found friend Data, Eide and the others in Main-Frame. To fight for their hopes and dreams; to defend them from their enemies; the Viruses!
This battle is long and hard, but we Guardians must stand true in hopes of winning this war and to make sure systems like Main-Frame can operate safely from harm once again.
I know that it wouldn't be easy and the Viruses will do all that they can to gain power over this system, but I tend to stand strong and beat them!

-A Virus' Thirst-
.
-It was a hot warm day in Main-Frame characters out in the streets all enjoying their time, then suddenly this all changed as heavy rain fell from the sky, the rain was sharp and frequent and was accompanied by peals of thunder and flashes of lightning.
The storm filled sky for a brief second turned red as a virus had cut his way through into Main-Frame, as war rages through many other system. The form stood tall; 'I am where I need to be… At last I have found the key to free myself and my family from rage from war.' he thought as he turns his head from left to right at the skyline. The virus grinned, as his eyes set on the Principal Office, which he felt the forced this building housed. The Principals Office is the main central hub that holds Main-Frame together with each sector circling the great centre building.
The virus hadn't come allow he stood with his two teenager children at his side, all wanting the energy to fight to live.
.
-As the day drew into evening, the shadows would allow anyone if they wished free rein of the streets and dark allies, and to get close to the heart of Main-Frame pretty much undetected.
.
The virus was out on the streets for his first hunt in search of a victim; the virus felt her power way before he had even laid eyes on her.
It is well known to all virus' that female character's have the most energy of life, and this virus was now exception.
.
He hunts with the sole purpose to take her energy, her thoughts and her knowledge; knowledge to get him inside the Principal building to have all the pathways to keep on running, so capturing her was high on his list of priorities. 'Anyone of thee fair girls must hold the key… must hold that one piece of knowledge that would allow me to get my foot in the door.' were his thoughts as he moved silently on.
.
Bells could be heard ringing out from the near by clock-tower that dominated the skylight, the virus as the last bell tolled heard women chatter. 'Just what I require, just want I crave.' he thought as he turned sharply to catch sight of a group of female office worker leaving the Principal Building.
"Gosh what a long day." Nicann rubbed her eye. She as small delicate features and high cheekbones.
"Yeah too long!" stated another officer workers in agreement.
"No doubt we'll feel better when were home!"
"Yes your right there Nicann… Shoe off, a drink purred and a bath run!' Emlland brushed a strand of hair over her ear, a pod pulled up before them; and the driver peeped. Emlland turned with a smile and waved to the driver, the man she loved. 'Well here we are our lift, how do I look?" Emlland asked Nicann for her honest opinion, as she cast a hand down her front then trying quickly to fix her hair.
Nicann laughed, knowing Emlland had nothing to worry about. "You look fine, Emlland!"
"Thanks." she said in gratitude.
"Must be nice, having a rich man looking after you."
She nods. "Yes he's a good man… I've been luck and found myself a good one here."
"Hey with this new hat, I'll soon find myself a good man too." Nicann said with true confidence.
There came a tap on the window from Emlland's boyfriend. She waved to him and smiles to Nicann. "Come on we can't keep him waiting."
Nicann took a step back, shrugging off the kind gesture. "No… no you go on ahead Emlland… I don't want to cost you two love birds any time." and with that she winked.
"Are you sure?"
Nicann smiled. "I'm sure you go on, and hey say hi to him for me."
Emlland didn't think twice in trying to change her mind, in fact she had already stepped closer to the car, shouting back "We'll be good I promise." she said actually crossing a hand over her heart.
Nicann could have laughed as Emlland waved goodbye and opened the pod door. "I'll see you back at the flat, Nicann."
Nicann waved back and wished her friend a good time by saying. "You just show him you love him and I'll see you later!"
And with that said the pod door was closed, the pair inside kissed and Nicann walked away not wishing to see any more.
.
Alone now Nicann turned and made her way home, men chatter as she walks down the streets, it wasn't that crowed at all. Nicann looked around, but didn't sense anything awry.
Sticking close to the shadows even though the streets at that time in the Receiver sector were empty. The virus watched as she walked now alone, with ever step she made she was sealing her own end.
'No doubt this body is primed with life and knowledge... Yes she'll provide me with the energy and life force that I so need to feed myself with to live.' his thought's drove him to lick his lips; the virus had so liked the look of the character who had walked unsuspectingly into his path.
.
He moved on after her, however he knew that her screams of fear and pain could not be heard, because if they were his act and wish would be over before it began.
.
The lady now entered Bucrow, a small thoroughfare that leads in an East to West direction in the Eastern section of Main-Frame, the lady seeing the glowing rays of the light at the end of the street.
He raised an eyebrow from the shadows as he was now ready to attack her. 'Oh she is perfect. This one is totally full of power, oh so full of precious energy.' were the virus' internal thoughts; and with that thought he raised his right hand showing extending fully his sharp razor claws.
Nicann felt the touch of the virus on her shoulder, she turns around slightly startled as she didn't hear anyone behind her at the time and as she faced him her brownish-grey eyes saw the towering figure before her. She was watching him as he was watching her, his eyes looked directly into her, but only seeing the force within and nothing else.
"Tired?" the virus asked her.
"Yes." she nods, unable to take her eyes off of him in true fear.
He grinned, Niccan seeing his teeth. "You are the figure in my dreams…"
Nicann didn't know quite what to make of this, and in the light of the street lights hoped that maybe someone would cross their path.
"A true beauty indeed… Please tell me, what is your name?" Gijon asked, speaking so firmly. A hand now wiping over his mouth.
"Ni- Nicann.' was her reply, mustering all the bravery she could to first her words. 'And.. and what is yours?" the tremble in her voice rose.
"That my dear Nicann is not important.' Gijon could hear her heart beat inside her chest, he then casts a hand back up at the Principals office. 'A happy job there Nicann, I reckon you know all kind of secrets."
Nicann looks around quickly and then answers; as she hoped to keep him talking, keep him from carrying out his ending blow. "Yes I enjoy it immensely indeed… working there is truly a worth while posting here in Main-Frame."
Her words betrayed her, as Gijon heard the hitch in her voice, the sob in her throat that wouldn't be allowed to flow.
"That it is my dear, that it is.' he states in agreement. 'It is after all the sole reason that I come after you… You see I need… no better still want something from you."
He paused as Nicann was about to speak and silenced her, she now didn't dare take her eyes off of him, he was testing her and she knew it, he took in the way he held her. "Now now Nicann… don't say you'll tell me anything, because I already know you won't. Such a shame you are so beautiful… but your job is your curse!"
She suddenly heard footsteps and looked back over her shoulder; she leaning on her heels, she was ready to run ready to leave. However, no one came, that was why it was always done at night. Gijon knew that someone would see him.
The virus then grinned as he finally made his decision, he stepped towards her again with such speed she couldn't move away.
"Gosh… I'm sorry you scared me!"
"Who are you?" she asked, as she was pushed back to the wall.
The question provoked an irresistible urge with in Gijon. With a slight bit of his bottom lip he answered. "I am the virus Gijon." It just rolled out of his mouth.
Her eyes opened wide in utter shock.
"You're so beautiful." he stated, a hand brushing up against her skin.
Niccan shivered at his touch. "Your hands they're… they're as cold as death?" she said, her head turned to look at his hand. 'You are going to kill me?"
He hods. "Drain you… then yes." he spoke with no remorse.
And just as she was ready to call for help the screams of his first victim were quickly silenced as the two sharp narrow edge claws enter into the female's shoulder, the claws been at least 6 to 8 inches in length. "No fear now girl… you just give me what I need… tell me all what I want."
The virus held her, being this close to her he could hear her breathing, until he had taken her everything; until he realised the fact the in truth she knew nothing that could help him and therefore as she passed out he cast her down to the floor.
In rage he called our, "She knows nothing!" Slamming his fist to the wall to his side, before in a blink of an eye move back into the shadows and laving the sign of this his first draining. The sky covered with a thick layer of cloud, cloud which blocked out the crescent of the moon.
.
-There came the sound of an officer's whistles cutting through the silence; blown to call other officers to his aid after he had sadly come across the female's body, who had just been left lying there in a quiet part of Receiver Sector with not a sole about. She was fully drained of all her life force and her eyes no longer brownish-grey, but filled with thick yellow.
The officer lowered his whistle; he could only see her outline thanks to the street light and leaned on in, seeing her full plight with his own eyes he states. "May the main board have mercy." in true shock. 'Gosh, just think I was down this street just 15 minutes ago… and nothing, just how could this have happened, how could someone can do such a thing?'
Another officer who had heard his fellow officer's calling came running towards him from the opposite direction, and found himself staggering back a step when he too saw her palm dried form.
"She was like this when I found her, at first hand on heart Neale I thought it was a dropped sack of clothes, but not this." stated the first officer to his follow officer.
"Damn… what kind of monster would do such a thing?' said the office, turning away. 'After all Nicann was known, and well liked."
"I can only fathom…' he stated while scratching the back of his head. The officer then looked up and down the street. 'Look Neale, you have the boys make the rounds, see if anyone might have saw or heard something… I want each home and business that make up this charming street search and all citizens questioned, after all this couldn't have gone unseen…"
The second officer nodded. "Let's hope they have, Mijen. I'll start up by the corner of Doreet, and see if anyone knows anything."
"Also head in The Britannia its no doubt been a busy evening down their, and its known that some of the girls head off there from time to time."
With that he run off in the opposite direction, leaving Mijen standing their alone.
Officer Mijen looked over the scene again. 'What a waste.' he thought. 'Nobody deserves to be taken out like this, say maybe the one who committed such an atrocity.'
An ambulance was called, soon Mijen stood before to aids, "Please transport the body to the morgue, I wish for Liewry to view the body."
"Yes, sir!" The two men responded in unison.
The lady was placed into the ambulance, Mijen accompanied them with the ladies body to the examination room.
.
When her body was later examined by Llewry, the officer kept his distance standing in the corner as he watched.
"So Llewry in your educated opinion who on the streets could have do such a thing?"
The examiner cast a glance to the officer and shook his head. "Oh no I'm afraid this isn't a simple attack here officer!" he then saw what he was looking for and in his utter shock and surprise Llewry then steeped back away from the body; through his examination he had discovered the two puncher wounds on her right shoulder.
"What is it Llewry, what is wrong?"
"Here come look for yourself." stated the examiner, pointing to the puncher wounds." Llewry leans on in pointing out the two marks to the officer.
Mijen rubbed a hand over his mouth.
"This was truly a quick act indeed, There are no defensive wounds. She wasn't expecting this attack, the poor girl had no way of preventing him!" added the examiner.
"Very troubling indeed!' said Mijen, as the examiner stood straight and stepping away from the body. The officer had to look away. 'And please Llewry have you ever seen this kind of thing?" he asked Llewry.
"Luckily I have never seen anything like this in the years of my profession, it appears that we are dealing with a different breed of attacker altogether."
"What are they?" Mijen asked, worryingly.
"Well Mijen, these are the wounds let by drain points… I fear that the girl as been attack my a virus…"
"A virus on the streets of Main-Frame."
"Yes I believe so.' stated the examiner. 'There is no doubt about it!"
"Heavens no! Poor girl." was the officers reply.
"I know it isn't much conciliation, but in my due opinion the girl would have felt very little pain. After all in my examination I can not see any signs of bruising nor injury on her body… The link marks here are clear and clean, and would have been instantaneous. No doubt once the virus made his connection the draining would have taken less than five minutes to perform…"
At hearing this Mijen took a step back, a hand came up and scratched the back of his head, this was truly a shock it was truly too much to take in at this time in the evening.
.
Neale had just returned to Principal office to reported in after talking to the characters on Bucrow and writing down his findings in his notebook.
.
At the same time, Mijen left the examination room and was approached by Officer Neale. "Ahhh, Neale did your search of the area bring up any leads?" he asked him.
"I returned to Bucrow, but.' he paused.
"What's wrong?" asked Mijen, seeing the look on his fellow officers face.
"Will it surprise you sir, if I told you that no one had heard nor saw anything suspicious before your discovery of the ladies body?' stated Neale in answer, sounding somewhat disheartened. 'It's bloody astounding there are eight units up Bucrow and nobody heard anything."
Mijen saw his fellow officer look to the floor. "Since the fall of game Receiver sector is a part of Main-Frame that feel somewhat forgotten, no wonder it is silent even in the face of a crime like this." interjected Mijen trying to offer some explanation.
At hearing this Neale took a long drawn out sigh of wariness. "Yeah, but this isn't your simple crime. This is something else. This… this is different.' he regaining some composure. 'We did get so information, however on the lady, sir. It appears that her friend and roommate a Emlland, was the last character to see her, and to Emlland point of view Nicann was in good spirits. In fact wishing to walk home when Emlland's boyfriend was there to offer the pair a lift… stating in jest to Emlland that she didn't want to be the third wheel."
"That's something to go on I suppose, however, it could sadly turn out that her good spirits were to be her end, poor girl her life dried like that, it's just sickening."
"Drained?" Neale asked in shock.
The officer casts a hand back, as Llewry leaves the examine room and walks down the corridor in the opposite direction. "Yes sadly so it appears, Llewry states that the wounds found on the lady indicate that this was the act of a virus."
"Gosh no… do you believe it?" Neale asked, hoping that it wasn't true.
"All I will say is this, I know one thing's for certain someone from Main-Frame didn't do it." Mijen stated firmly.
.
-This attack hadn't gone unnoticed, as by the following day the newspapers at gotten word of the attack, and the surfacing evidence of a virus in the mist of Main-Frame they no doubt took up this story.
And once the front page was clear from pint the agency had their sellers run up and down the main street of Main-Frame, calling out. "An attack on the streets of Main-Frame, lady left… officers hoping to gain some answers!' whilst waving the paper high in the air. 'Buy the Staim, lady left drained in Main-Frame… read the Staim… only one coin! Attack in Main-Frame! Read all about in only in the Staim!" the seller all the time waves the paper in the air.
Characters heard this and all wanted to know what had happened the night before while they were resting.
