White Christmas
Amber and Link have been dating for five years since they were in 8th grade. They are Seniors in high school. It is Christmas Eve 1962 both Link and Amber have family visiting and are going to the local ice rink in the late afternoon before their family dinners begin.
Link is almost out the door when his mother's voice stops him.
Mrs. Larkin walks into the living room from the kitchen wiping her hands on Christmas kitchen towel as she walks up to her son who has his ice skates in one hand and car keys in the other.
Link looks at his mom and starts laughing.
Mrs. Larkin looks at him funny, "What why are you laughing?"
Link reaches out and wipes the white flour off his mother's face and shows her.
Mrs. Larkin starts laughing then tells Link, "Family dinner will be at 6:15 so please be home by 6 o'clock, and be very careful the roads are a mess and there is a blizzard in the forecast for tonight."
Link smiles and says, "I will mom. See you later."
With that he is out the door and on the way to pick up Amber.
He gets to her house to find her sitting out on the front steps waiting for him and when she sees him she stands and walks to the curb as he brings the car to a stop and leans over the passenger seat to open the door for her.
Amber gets in and sets her skates on the floor, puts her seat belt on and leans over to kiss Link.
He kisses her back and puts the car in gear and they are on their way to the ice rink
Minutes later they pull up to the ice rink that is located in one of the cities parks.
They both get out and sit on one of the benches to put their skates on and are soon out on the ice skating around.
After a few collisions and falls Link spins Amber around in the middle of the ice and turns her so that she is facing him.
Amber zips her purple winter coat up further and pulls her hat down making sure that her ears are covered.
Link leans in to kisses her softly and just as their lips touch it begins to snow softly.
Link pulls a box out of his red winter coat pocket and shows it to her as they break apart.
"Merry Christmas! this just a little something to show you how much I love being your boyfriend." Link says as he hands her the box.
Amber smiles as her eyes begin to tear up a little at how sweet he his. She opens the box to find the most beautiful locket. The locket is in the shape of a heart and on the front engraved is "L + A" and on the inside is two pictures one of Link and one of the two of them.
"Aww Link this is so beautiful thank you so much. I love it almost as much as I love you." Amber says.
She leans in and kisses him. He takes it from her and puts it around her neck.
Amber hands him the present she got for him.
He opens the box to find a gold watch that he has always wanted.
"Oh my gosh baby it's wonderful, thank you so much." he says as he puts it on his wrist.
Amber smiles as snow flakes fall on her nose.
"Merry Christmas"

Amber wraps her arms around Link's neck and pulls him down for a passion filled kiss. Link rests his hands on her hips.
They kiss in the middle of the skating rink as the snow begins to fall around them.
