You know the feeling when you have lost something, and nothing, nothing can replace it?

"Where are you? Com'n dude, pick up?" Percy was near tears. He had thrown the comforter off the bed, checked all the usual places and the creaks between the sofa. Heck, he had even walked the way back to college and checked all the places where he could have misplaced it.

He really felt like crying.

"It's gone. It's never coming back!" He felt like throwing everything out. In the end, he plugged the hardrive out from the computer and in the TV.

When Annabeth came to visit him in the evening and kissed him, hanging her coat, Percy, in a morose tone, said, "I lost my phone," without getting up from his position.

"What the heck? How could you? Where?"

"I am never going out again."

"Which one are you thinking of buying?"

"I don't know? They don't make any more models of my phone. And the budget is low," replied Percy dryly.

"Here's a gift for you," said Annabeth as she handed him a silver gift wrapper wrapped box. "Open it."

"Thanks Annabe- OH MY GODS WHERE DID YOU FIND IT, ANNABETH?"

Annabeth took one look at his face (gobsmacked, mouth hanging open) and ended up rolling on the floor laughing.

"I(laugh) managed to pull a few- (laugh) few strings. Got my buddies to help. Located you."

"I love you Annabeth!" Percy exclaimed close to tears. He looked at his sleek phone, the gold lining scraping off, during it's time with Percy.

"I know, dummy. Now give me a hug."

"Oh! I can give you more than a hug," he grinned, swooping in for a good night's sleep (you can erase the sleep part).

*wink* ;)
