When a Tree Falls (crossover)

While out in the woods, Dipper and Ford encounter something strange. Set sometime after DD&MD. Oneshot.

It was late in the afternoon. Dipper and Ford were out in the forest, looking for floating eyeballs. They were deep in the woods when a stray beam of light appeared out of nowhere and struck a tree in front of them. The tree then fell. After it did, a whisper was heard, saying "Doofenshmirtz..."

For those who guessed it, and for those who didn't know, the ray came from Doof's If-A-Tree-Falls-Inator, from the Phineas & Ferb episode, My Fair Goalie.

Given Doof's poor aim and uncanny ability to cause collateral damage, one would wonder what would happen if one of those stray shots ended up going all the way to Gravity Falls.

For continuity reasons, this fanfic takes place at the same time as that episode.
