The long awaited story of Casey and Sammy in a closet….

To be fair, it wasn't all Marissa's fault, it was also Billy's, Holly's and Dot's. But yeah, it was mostly Marissa's fault. Actually it seemed that most of my embarrassing moments with boys can be traced back to Marissa, well the ones from August to June anyways. It truly amazes me that she puts so much time and effort into embarrassing me. It all started one chilly January day…

We were sitting in Hudson's living room doing lovely math homework. Marissa was going on and on about some guy that she liked while I was half listening. The norm school afternoon.

"… and guess what? He's friends with Casey!" Even though I knew it was going to be bad for my health and sanity, I decided to listen. Yes, I know, dumb huh?

"Oh yeah, who is he?" She sighed.

"I just told you, Nick." Seeing my blank expression she added, "From the eighth grade dance, remember?" Now I remembered.

"Wasn't he dating Olivia?"

"Yeah but they broke up, something about her being to clingy"

"Ah and when did this happen?" She looked a tad bit embarrassed. This ought to be good.

"Um, about two hours ago?" I sighed.

"Out of crazy interest, did you have something to do with the breakup?" She looked at me like I had just accused her of murder

"Of course not! I would have never have attempted to break a girls heart, I still remember how it felt when Danny did it to me!" I choose not to point out that Danny was a jerk while Nick was actually nice. Instead I decide to move on to a different problem.

"Then you can't date Nick. Think of how you would feel if Danny got a girlfriend the day after you broke up." She smiled a brilliant evil smile. A smile I know all too well.

"But I can kiss him and have nothing official."

"Marissa, that's awful!"

"How? No one's going to know except you."

"But you will know!" She smiled.

"How's Casey?" I stared at her. I contemplated just ignoring her, but decided that if I did she would assume something and then go shout it out to the world.

"Good. How should he be?"

"Oh I don't know, you're the one kissing him. When is the last time you have kissed him?" I stare at her. Why on earth does she care?

"I don't know. Yesterday after pizza?" Her eyes widen.

"You haven't kissed him for 24 hours!" she practically shouted. "You two need to get closer." I stared at her in disbelief.

"We see each other every day!" Marissa grinned and then started on her math homework. Oh no.

So that was that Friday. And Marissa didn't say anything about it until the next Friday. When I had forgotten about it and my guard was down. Oh yeah, it was a recipe for disaster.

We had headed to Dot's house to were Casey, Billy, Holly Marissa, and I had been invited to. We were the last to arrive and so after carefully dodging Dot's sisters we made our way to the Dot's room. Everyone was lounging around with a box of pizzas in the middle. I wasn't that surprised to see Nick there. Marissa had told Holly and Dot of her little crush. That's when things turned interesting. Billy hopped up and shouted,

"Hey look a headless chicken in the closet!" Everyone stares at him and he giggles like a little boy on Christmas. "Come look!" We all head over to the closet to look at the so called headless chicken. When we got there Billy pushed me in first and then Casey in on top of me. "Sorry no headless chicken"

That's where we are now. Sitting in a closet with no headless chicken to entertain us. According to Casey's phone it is now nine o'clock. From what they told us from through the door, they were only planning on keeping us in here for an hour, but they lost the key.

I am going to kill Marissa.

That didn't turn out the way I expected ah well.
