The day the stars fell from the sky.

Chapter One: Abandoned.
I've lived in this orphanage for as long as I can remember, my parents apparently didn't care enough about their own son to keep him around.
But I don't really hate them, I've been told for years not to blame them, they were probably to young to take good care of me anyways.
The orphanage is ok, the kids are all pretty nice, the ones who aren't picked on me for years, until that one night.
I had just had the ever loving snot beaten out of me, again that afternoon.
I had tried to run away, but I wasn't exactly the most agile of people.
To make a long story short they caught me, pummeled, beat, kicked, scratched, punched, pulled and generally hurt me until they got tired, which took a long time. Luckily over the years I had built up a bit of pain tolerance. Still, its not something you want to go through very often.
So that night I was sitting, staring out my window, and I saw a shooting star, I made a wish, my wish was that there was some way I could get back at those that had so effortlessly beaten and taunted me for years.
Of course nothing happened, first a week, then a month, then an entire year went past with no change, but then something started to happen.
I noticed I could easily leap over objects that would have normally stopped me. I thought it was just because I was getting better at running away, I was only seven, so it couldn't have been anything else. Until one day, after I had accidentally tripped Josh (One of the not nice kids.) I was running away from him and all the biggest, strongest kids in the orphanage, I came to a wall, going straight up to the roof, without thinking I jumped, and overshot the lip of the roof that I was trying to grab onto by about three feet.
I landed smashing hard into the metal roof, I fainted.
