Tobias POV

Four years, it has been four years since she left my life. Life has been hard since Tris died, I tried to move on but it' not just hard, it is the hardest thing I ever had to do.

The gang has tried to help me as well as my mother, I appreciate their help but… it only makes things worse. I have been working as a security guard for a few months now and it has been quite an experience.

The factions don't exist anymore and everything has been going well, for now, most Dauntless members have become the security of Chicago, Amity members are the farmers, Erudite has transformed into scientists, and Candor are the judges.

Finally, Abnegation… they did not really form any groups like the other factions, the made up most of the population but they did make organizations called charities, they are supposed to help people in need. I really do not know how that works.

Being with my mother again has been a real experiment but it has been worth it, she is so different, she has done everything to change and I really appreciate it. She has been a gran help when it came to Tris.

Even though they never got along, Evelyn has been talking well about her. She never considered her an enemy but she did admit she felt a little of jealousy and I could not blame her.

She was now making lunch for both of us, as for me, I am just sitting on the couch of my apartment. Evelyn came every once and while to visit me. As soon as I was about to head to my bedroom, I hear my mother call. "Tobias! Lunch!"

I quickly head to the kitchen, as I walk in, Evelyn places two pieces of steak on my plate and then to hers. I sit down and start eating, then I look at my mother.

"Thank, Mother." I say as I continue to eat.

"You're welcome, Tobias." She says as we hear a knock.

My mother heads towards the door as I continue eating, then I hear Christina talking. A small smile spreads on my face as I see, Christina, Zeke, Shauna, and Cara walk in.

Shauna has been using a prosthetic leg so she would stop using the damn wheelchair and it has been working very well, I still remember how excited Shauna was to get that prosthetic leg.

"Hey, Four." Christina says as she sits next to me.

"Hey, guys." I say. Then I look at my mother who is telling Zeke, Shauna, and Cara where to sit. "Mother, sit. You have been working all day, you need to rest."

"You don't need to worry about me." Evelyn says as she sits in the other chair that is beside me. I see Zeke sit across from me, he then gets out a plate of salad and a piece of Dauntless cake. God how much I miss Dauntless cake.

"Did you have a good shift? Apart from our little prank." Zeke says as he winks at me.

I chuckle remembering that prank. Shauna sits right next to Zeke and she raises an eyebrow. "What happened, Zeke?"

Zeke quickly looks at Shauna; I have never seen him react so quickly at a woman's words, especially Shauna's. "Is not what you think, Shauna, I promise." He then out of nowhere kisses her that was unexpected.

I see Shauna blush and I cannot blame her, Tris used to do that. Damn, I miss her! Then I hear Christina say, "What was that?"

"Better start talking you two." I hear Cara say. Shauna giggles, now that is just weird, she never does that.

"Well… Zeke and I are dating!" Shauna says excitedly.

Zeke wraps his arm around Shauna as my mother, Christina and Cara congratulate them; this is too much. I quickly get up heading straight to my bedroom.

I sit down on my bed and I force myself to not cry. I still remember when she fell on the net, how shocked I was to know that an Abnegation girl was the first jumper. She was always so brave and selfless. I am so sorry I could not save you, Tris. I miss you so much. I love you.

Then I hear Zeke on the other side of the door. "Four? Four, are you in there? It's Zeke." I manage to control my emotions.

"You can come in." I say.

Zeke walks in and says, "Hey, are you okay? Shauna was very excited to tell you guys. Did we upset you?"

I shake my head not wanting him to feel bad. "It's okay, Zeke. I'm happy for you, the both of you. It's just… Tris influenced my life in such a way… I just can't simply forget her."

Zeke nods in understanding, he walks over to me and he sits on the edge of my bed. "Four, I understand and I'm very sorry for you. But you need to move on, Tris would want you to."

Zeke is right, I can't beat myself that I could have saved her, I need to move on. I look at him thankful for his support. "I understand, Zeke, but I'm not ready yet. Just give me time."

"Take all the time you need." Zeke says; he then gets up. "Come on, Four. Let's go with the others, they must be worried." He says.

I nod at him. "Okay, let's go." I say. Then I got up and followed Zeke back to the living room.

Tris POV

Darkness. That's all I see. Darkness. I manage to open my eyes and I see the familiar grey of Abnegation. Why am I in Abnegation? I slowly get up of the soft surface I was on top of which I then realize it's a bed. I need answers!

I leave the bed and I start walking around the room. When I finally spot the door, I open it and head downstairs. Then I feel dizzy, I manage to lean on a wall before I fall. What happened to me?

I finally reach the living room, and then I see a TV on. That is just weird. I completely ignore the news report; my eyes are on the date, which is written on the top right corner. It has been four years!

Then I start remembering what happened at The Bureau, me taking Caleb's place, going inside the chamber and releasing the serum, and when David shot me. Oh God, I need to find Tobias!

Third Person POV

Matthew was in a laboratory starring at a computer. He was looking through the security system of Chicago. His computer then starts beeping, a small smile forms on his face.

Caleb than appears in the room, he sees that Matthew was still with his computer. "What are you looking for, Matthew?" Caleb asked.

Matthew was slightly startled because he did not hear Caleb come in. He then turns to him ready to give him the good news.

"I have found her, Caleb. She's in Abnegation; I have no idea why she's there." Matthew explained.

Caleb sighs in relief glad that Tris was safe. "I think it's time to tell them. They deserve to know she is alive." Caleb said.

Matthew was glad that Caleb was finally ready to tell the rest of the gang about Tris. He turns off his computer and packs it into a bag back. "At last you come to your senses. They should be at Four's place." Matthew said and he left the room.

Caleb was now in his inner thoughts, he felt bad for what he did to Tris but he felt that it was the right thing to do. He then follows Matthew.

Tris POV

This is too crazy. How did I survive being shot? I need to calm down. I need to focus. Maybe eating something will help me. I head to the kitchen but then I see a computer on a table.

I walk over to it and read a message that is for me. This is getting weirder. The message read "Hello, Tris. I know that you are confused right now but I need you to trust me. I have left you some clothes and weapons in the bathroom. If you think you can trust me, then met me at the old Dauntless Compound at 2.00 pm. But if you think you can't, that's okay just respond to me and tell me what you are going to do."

This is so confusing but if this person has answers, maybe he or she could help me find Tobias. I sit down in front of the computer and I reply to the message.

We talk for a few minutes and then I finally go to the bathroom. I change clothes, grab the knife, and gun that the person left me. Before I was wearing all white clothes, which really confused me, but now I am wearing a black t-shirt, a leather jacket, a pair of ripped jeans and combat boots.

I put the gun in the hostler that was now on my waist and the knife inside my boot. I finally head to the meeting point, which was The Pit.

As I head to The Pit, I look at Chicago in awe. It has changed so much since I left. The buildings were more modern, there were apartments in every corner, and there were roads and cars. My guess they took inspiration from The Bureau.

I finally make it to the Dauntless Compound, I get inside the way I did during my initiation. It is still as fun as the first time. Then I get to The Pit, I have never seen it this dark, it was always filled with life.

I'm guessing the factions do not exist anymore if no one lived here. I look at my watch, which I took from the Abnegation house. It's 2.00 pm. The person should be here by now.

"HELLO?!" I shout.

Then I hear footsteps, I turn to where they originated and I'm shocked at who I see. How is it possible?
