This is my first attempt at a story so people please tell me where I can work on and everything. I want some constructive criticism. I do not own Naruto or any of the Characters but my own OC's. Naruto is owned by Masashi Kishimoto and I am not here to make a profit. Just to work on my writing and storytelling.
Revenge, hurt, anger, sadness all these feelings one person was feeling at once. Sitting on top of the highest point of the village at his favorite spot on top the Fourth Hokage's head was a20 year old blond in the standard Konoha Chunnin/Jounin outfit letting his tears out. His latest mission was a success but not without issues.
*Flash back no jutsu*
"NARUTO, SAKURA BOTH OF YOU WITH KYJI HYUGA TAKES THE DOCUMENTS AND RUN BACK TO THE HOKAGE THERE VERY IMPORTANT" yelled out the mission leader
Barrages of kunai flying in on them, has Sakura and Kyji both tugging on Naruto to get him to leave with them.
"I see so Iruka sacrificed himself so you three can bring back these papers, let's just hope it makes it back. Came the voice of the busty Hokage with the pink haired konochi looking down and the blonde looking about to go into byju form, these two being ones that was once trained by their mission leader. As the Hokage was about to dismiss them when, her assistant charged in.
"LADY TSUNADE, the guards at the north gate stated Iruka is back and took them to the hospital he is in need of immediate medical care."
After a whole hour since Tsunade, Sakura, Naruto, and Tsunade's assistant got to the hospital Tsunade has been in surgery room leaving the two chuunin in the waiting room. After a while of waiting the blonde couldn't wait anymore and was about to barge into the surgery room when the Hokage came out with a sadden look on her face. Figuring out what happened Naruto let out a feral Growl and ran out of the building not knowing where he was going leaving there with only hearing someone screaming his name.
*End flash back no jutsu*
Sitting next to naruto like a ghost the kyubi was trying to strike up a conversation with his host.
"Naruto"
"Hey Naruto listen to me Iruka sacrificed himself to protect you. For a human he wasn't that bad after everything he done for you"
"Kurama-Ni leave me alone I'm not in the mood for you"
At that moment the Kyubi noticed something before his host did.
"Naruto….Look you need to take a look."
"Snow ?"
"Yes Naruto, Iruka gave you the gift you wanted for everyone."
*Flash back no jutsu*
Four ninja sitting by the fire a day away from their home and was taking a break at night from their return trip.
"Naruto what is it something you would like to see at Konoha even if it was for a short while?" the mission leader Iruka asked his now adopted brother
"Iruka-nisan I'd like to see it snow just once so everyone at home can see how fun it is and enjoy it during Christmas." Was the cheerful of a blonde ninja
"Naruto-baka it can't snow it konoha it's too warm." an irritated pink haired konochi stated
*End flash back no jutsu*
After sitting a while in the snow taking it in that's it is actually snowing in the village Naruto got up and left the Hokage monument to head home. Walking through the village, Naruto saw different things happening throughout the village. Couples taking walks in the snow with each other, kids throwing snowballs at each other, and villagers doing last minute shopping, seeing all this brought a small smile to the gaki's face finally accepting what has happened.
Stopping at the door to his home not being able to make the final step to enter his and Iruka's old home. Standing there for several minutes the door opened with a pink hair kunochi wrapped with a scarf around her neck. If she didn't look where she was going she'd have ran right into her friend. Seeing him there she embraced Naruto in a hug and started to cry herself, Naruto not being able to see Sakura cry like that returned the hug to comfort her.
After a few minutes of the pair crying more tears together they finally move since they was getting cold.
"Naruto come inside everyone is here to see you" Sakura taking his hand to pull him inside.
After taking his ninja sandals off at his door Naruto saw that there were a total of 15 other sandals. Wondering who all was there naruto made quick strides to the living room to see the tree that Iruka and him decorated 2 days before there last mission together. Along with the tree was all of his friends of teams 8, 10, and Guy also there was Sai, Kakashi, Guy, Tsunade and her assistant.
"Naruto we all heard what happened to Iruka-Sensei, and we are sad about his leaving to. But you ought to know you was his favorite and he would want you to be happy during these next few days." Came the voice of the blonde chuunin medical-nin
"Ino…thank you"
After a drink was passed to Naruto and Sakura's hands, Naruto step forward and raised his glass a bit in the air looking around at everyone he gave them his normal foxy smile and with a quick nod from kakashi: "To Iruka and to Konoha" everyone else followed what was said then they all started to pass out gifts to one another. They would have kept opening gifts if a certain some ones stomach didn't start to growl at them.
Knowing it would be smart to move to the dining room so they could eat before Naruto starts to try and eat their heads off. After courses of Turkey, ham, Corn, mashed Potatoes and other assorted foods Tsunade rose from her seat.
"Everyone I got two more gifts to give out. Naruto, Sakura after a large discussion with some of your fellow nins and other Jounin I am putting you both up to become Jounin.
It took a bit for the shock to come about from everyone else but Naruto and Sakura still wasn't sure they heard her right. Shaking his head and coming too Naruto was the first to speak.
"Is this real Ba-chan?"
"Naruto show some respect to Tsunade-sama and don't call her ba-chan." After saying her piece, sakura punched Naruto in the head.
"Yes Baka it is real from this point on you and Sakura have a week off then on next Monday you will report to kakashi so he can start to prepare you for the Jounin exams, and Sakura you're to come to my office so I can finish your training. "
After a bit more of celebration everyone left Naruto's place for him to clean it all up and so he can get some rest. With a quick thinking Naruto summoned some of his clones to do the cleaning, while he prepared to head for bed. With the cleaning finished and nothing left to do Naruto lay on his bed thinking of how his future is going to change and of those who he has lost throughout the years.
Sleep not being able to quiet claim him naruto rolled over to where his bedside table was and saw the pictures he had there. There was one with him and his jiji, one of Pervy-sennin, and then one of his adopted brother Iruka. With tears in his eyes sleep finally claiming him. Slowly falling to a slumber not caring what's going to happen tomorrow with one last sigh Naruto was asleep.
