Chapter 1
Elaine sat in the study room reading out of her large English 211 book, the book was called "Drama". Elaine read out of the book almost every day because she was a devoted student. Victor was walking about the 4th floor of Maringer Dorm at the college they attended, where Elaine was, visiting with random people because he was so popular. Victor walked past the study room and stopped as he saw Elaine reading her book.
To Victor, Elaine was beautiful. She had the biggest, bluest eyes, long, brown hair, and the face of an angel in heaven. Victor walked into the study room admiring her beauty. Elaine looked up from her book and saw him. She smiled and said "hey." Victor then replied, "hey, what's up" to her. Elaine started blushing when she saw his smile, she couldn't help it.
And Victor? Victor couldn't help grabbing her up and shoving the huge book off the table, replacing it with her. "Ole!" Victor yells before face battling Elaine, the sounds of their lips smacking vibrating in the small, barren room. Elaine screeched in response, her sloth mating call. He knew this call well, having researched sloths in order to give Elaine the utmost pleasure. Sometimes when he was alone in his room, he listened to recordings of this mating call in order to… Ole.
Bethany, their best friend, who was the most beautiful owl in all the world springs into the room. She has misinterpreted their noises, believing that they were playing and chasing each other in circles like her and Elaine enjoy doing. Her owl eyes widen in fright, screeching for she is a screech owl. Victor, in haste, throws Elaine over his shoulder, she latches on like the sloth she is, and runs past Bethany.
They disappear into the bowels of hell- I mean Maringer. For Victor knows all the secret passage ways because he's the basilisk. He's a sneaky snake.
And on the walls of fourth floor Maringer written:
Her sloth bones will lay in the chamber of secrets forever.
