A quick drabble, let me know if you think it should be expanded because I have an idea on that or if it should stay as is! Thanks!
The brown liquid burned its way down her throat, setting fire to her soul as the memories flashed through her ever active brain. Tears mixed with the melting ice as she ordered another shot, to forget, she had to forget. A flash of black hair caught her attention and she quickly downed her fourth shot, or was it her fifth? She couldn't remember… anguish gripped her heart, why could she still remember the red headed man and the leggy blonde wrapped around him.
"Hermione… you need to stop." A voice whispered to her. She ignored him, she had been ignoring him all night as he silently sat next to her waiting for her to speak; she hadn't.
Her vision was blurred, her mind swimming but she had only one goal, to set fire to her insides and to forget, she would forget.
She took the glass that had been handed to her with tears in her eyes as the clear liquid mocked her, even the bartender had cut her off. She threw the glass of water against a wall shattering it like her heart, she dropped a handful of coins on the counter and stormed out before anyone had even reacted to her outburst.
She walked out into the swirling snow, the cold biting into her naked arms. Had she even brought a coat? She stumbled through the white abyss hoping it would swallow her whole.
Uncontrollable shivers wracked her body as she collapsed, how long had she been walking? Maybe if she stayed here she could become just part of the forest, was she in a forest? How had she gotten here?
It didn't matter, only the red headed man with the leggy blonde mattered… she couldn't erase the memory, she couldn't destroy it… or maybe she could, all she needed to do was obliviate herself. But she didn't have her wand it was with her coat and she couldn't remember where she left them. Why couldn't she forget the mixing of red and blonde?
Her body long since numb, she let the tears freeze on her cheeks as she watched the snow swirl all around her. She took another breath, her lungs burned as the frozen air entered her body. It did nothing to quell the blazing inferno that raged within her. But the cold enveloped her in a loving caress and she drifted off into its loving embrace and she was finally able to forget.
