Not So LonelyValentine

I wonder some times - I wonder why do don't get Valentines,

I never get cards or candy or cheesy lines.

I look at them there with your glitter and oh so many sweets,

Tell me, are they good to eat?

You see, I've never had one, not one little bite

I came near them and they'd hold on to it tight.

I tried to ask they what it all meant, but I wasn't good enough,

All they did to answer was turn, walk away and huff.

I tried being quiet, was it my volume that kept them away?

No, not only was I left out, but ignored entirely that day.

I still don't understand, what's this all about?

It has something to do with love, it that why they left me out?

Then I met you, lost and alone as I,

So then I ask myself the question why.

Why can't we be together on this day?

No one else will care; they'll have nothing to say.

So, on this day when we have no one else, why don't you be mine?

Be my first valentine.

Gaara looked up from the card, a simple red, heart shaped card. The person in front of him was shifting their weight from foot to foot, face almost as red as the card. Icy green met clear blue, and he saw that they were sincere, no mocking or hateful look in his eye. He looked back down at the card. In awe of how a flimsy piece of paper could mean so much. Looking up at the giver once more, the red head stepped forward, slowly putting his arms around the person. He'd seen Temari do this once, to a guy she liked. And he couldn't push away the first person to love him since, well, ever, now could he? The blonde he was hugging returned it the best he could, with the gourd and all. He finally had a precious person of his own.

There weren't any words passed between them, there wasn't a need. They already knew what the other was feeling, they were the same were they not?

"Why didn't I do this LAST year?" Naruto asked himself, they could have been happy last year too! Well, it really didn't matter now, now did it?
