*They get ready to go out on another mystery trip that only Brendan knows about*
"Everyone ready?"
"Ready" They chorus. They all get into Brendan's car and drive for miles.
"Daddy, where are we going?" Leah chirps
"I don't know sweetie Daddy Brendan is the only one who knows"
"Daddy Brendan?"
"Not much further now princess I promise" After five more minutes the car grinds to a halt. "We're here!"
They all read the sign. 'Lazaretto's fabulously fun fair'
"We're at the fair?" Whispers Lucas as if it's most magical place in the world
"Yeah" Brendan says getting out of the car
"YIPPEE!" Leah shouts as she runs next to Brendan and holds his hand
Ste and Lucas get out and they all stand in a line.
"Come on then let's go in" Brendan says leading the way
They go on a few rides together before stopping for lunch of hotdogs and candy floss. Lucas and Leah end up wearing more than they do eating it.
Ste and Brendan holds hands the whole time and they head off to the stalls to try and win some prizes.
They start with the ducks and Leah manages to hook herself two ducks and get one big teddy and a smaller one and with Ste's help Lucas hooks a duck and gets a teddy too.
Brendan takes them over to the game where you have to knock cans down with bean bags. Leah's too busy cuddling her teddy bears happily to want to play and Lucas knows he won't be able to so Brendan and Ste have a go and try to out do each other. With one beanbag Brendan knocks down every can and Ste knocks them all down in 2 hits. They each get a prize and then they head over to the cranes.
"Oh that baby tiger's so cute!"
"Look daddy! Another dinosaur!"
Brendan smiles and hands Ste a few gold coins. "You go first" Ste fiddles around with the crane and picks up the baby tiger but drops her just before she gets to the hole. He does better the second time around and manages to win the tiger. He has one go left and aims for the dinosaur. It gets jammed around the dinosaur and another toy and they both fall into the hole. Double win!
"Here ya go kids" Ste says proudly handing them the toys they wanted. "and you can have this one" he says giving Brendan a black bat toy.
"Come on then Steven which one do you want?"
"It's alright."
"Ok I'll just pick on randomly" he says but he sees Ste's eyes flick at a toy Bear in the corner. He manoeuvres the crane and gets it first go.
"Here ya go Steven. Hope you like him as much as I love me bat"
"How did you know?"
"Just a guess" He says with a grin
After several more rides they collect a bag of candy floss to take home with them and they go home.
*Later that night Amy comes to collect the kids and they show her what they got and Amy's car is loaded with fair toys and presents.*
"Thanks for giving the kids an amazing day Brendan" Amy says as she straps the kids into the car. "Say thank you kids"
"Thank you daddy. Thank you Daddy Brendan!" they say as they wave them off
