Surprise Party

Fairy Tail's strongest team had gathered together for a slumber party at Lucy's apartment. They were celebrating Lucy's birthday.

"I'm bored, what are we gonna doooo…" Natsu sighed, impatiently. The fire wizard hated sitting still for extended periods of time.

"Natsu, you've only been sitting there for about THIRTY SECONDS. Relax. Lucy isn't even here yet! Be quiet, we don't want to ruin the surprise. She doesn't know we're here, and we don't want to you to waste all of our hard work." Erza scolded. The scarlet-haired mage was sick of Natsu's complaining throughout the day.

"Yeah, cool it, flame for brains." Gray insulted.

"Shut it, Elsa." Natsu responded.

"BOYS! I'm sure Lucy will be here soon, so why don't we have a little friendly competition?" Erza suggested.

"...What kind of competition are we talking about?" Gray asked.

"ALRIGHT! I'M ALL FIRED UP NOW!" Natsu screamed.

"Aye, Sir!" Happy jumped up.

"You don't even know what it is yet! Anyways, whoever finds the best hiding spot before Lucy gets here wins. Starting…" Erza checked her watch. "...Now."

They all scrambled around the apartment, knocking stuff over, all thinking about how they can't lose. Natsu decided he can't possibly lose to Gray, while Gray decided he couldn't possibly lose to Natsu. Happy just wanted to jump out of somewhere unexpected and terrify Lucy. Erza wanted to see the look of defeat on their pathetic faces, as revenge for the day before, when they destroyed her delectable strawberry cake.

They had been hiding for about five minutes. Happy somehow managed to fit inside a flower vase, patiently waiting for Lucy to come home. Natsu, was doing just the opposite of that, whining while he was still hiding in a cupboard. Gray was in a closet, and Erza stealthily hid in the most cliche place possible - under the bed.

The door unlocked. It creaked open, slowly. Lucy was shocked at what she opened the door and saw. She was absolutely furious at the mess in front of her eyes.

"...NATSU! HAPPY! COME OUT HERE RIGHT THIS SECOND!" Lucy screeched.

They completely ignored her. So, she did, the logical thing. She LUCY KICKED open the cupboard, completely breaking of the cover. Natsu was trembling in fear, too scared to even say a word. She grabbed him by his shirt collar and threw him to the ground.

"Maybe… you'll think twice…before breaking into my house!" She informed Natsu, taking a small break from attacking him, before she resumed again.

Erza, Gray and Happy just watched poor Natsu get abused for a while before stepping in.

"Hey… Lucy? It's okay to stop now. Surprise… hehehehe...please don't kill me.." Natsu mumbled.

"Lucy, SURPRISE!" Everyone jumped out and yelled.

Lucy took a break from brutally beating Natsu. She welcomed them, said hello, and then began to attack Natsu again.

"Why… me?.." Natsu asked.
