"Enough," he yelled at Irons, "I've been under your thumb my entire Life, I won't be any longer."
"Is that so Ian?" Kenneth replied coolly, "Why? I've never treated you cruelly, you've had the best of training for you destiny."
"What if this wasn't my destiny? How do I know you didn't just decide you wanted to make it my destiny? And now you're doing the something to Sara, your trying to push her towards a destiny you feel she should have."
"Now I see your problem, it is Sara isn't it? You think I'm going to abandon you in favor of her. You needn't worry about that Nottingham, I've put far to much time and effort into you to just abandon you. Or maybe you want her for yourself, it seems to me this is about Sara. That's it isn't it?" he said with a cruel look in his cold eyes.
Nottingham's cool visage got visibly colder. "You leave Sara out of this, this is between you and me."
"Why should I leave her out of this? You're the one who mentioned her."
"I was using her as an example, now that I'm done with that she needn't be discussed further."
"Well if you insist dear Nottingham I'll not mention her again.
If your persistent on leaving I guess I'll have to let you go, I don't want to have someone unwilling guarding me. I will miss you though."
"You'llmiss me?"
"Of course I'll miss you, I love you."
"I don't believe you, you've never told me that before, it's just a trick to get me to stay."
"I've never told you that I loved you? Well I have been remiss in that haven't I. Now that you know that I don't suppose you'll reconsider you decision to leave will you?"
"You love me, you really do love me you not just saying that?"
"Yes I really do, I'm not just saying it. Are you staying?"
"Then I guess I'll stay."
"Good, now come here and we can go celebrate."
"I wish you'd stop ordering me around so much."
"Old habits die hard, but I'll try."
And then they went and uma lot. Their lives continued on much as they had only Irons stopped ordering Ian around so much and Ian was secure in the fact he was loved.
