~ Prologue ~

I was at my kitchen table, drinking some of my tea imported from Xing, brought over by my friend, Yun.

When I was about to take a sip, someone started knocking on the door. I blinked. Who would knock on the door in the middle of the night, in the pouring rain? I sighed, getting up from my chair. It was probably Yun, getting himself in some sort of trouble again.

When I opened the door, I was surprised to see an elderly looking woman, with a figure in a gray cloak.

"H-hello! Please, step out of the rain, and come inside!" Great, if I was hiding anymore thieves in my house...

"Are you Serephina Milliane, the etiquette teacher?" The elderly woman asked.

"Yes, I am. And you are miss...?" I asked, leading them into the kitchen.

"I am Dante." She answered, following me. "This is my son En- Envy, put down your hood!" Dante yanked the other figure's hood off, revealing a palm tree.

Wait, I take that back, a girly man. Wait, no... I don't know.

Anywho, we all sat down.

"I don't wanna!" Envy growled, flipping his hood back up.

Dante sighed, shaking her head.

I asked, "Do you have business with me? Or do you need shelter?" I tried to phrase it politely as possible.

Dante smiled. "Ah, no, I just wondered if Envy could take some lessons with you."

"I don't need lessons!" Envy scowled, leaning back in his chair.

Dante glanced at Envy. "Envy, be polite!"

Envy rolled his eyes.

"...Um, well, would you prefer weekly visits, daily visits, or every other day visits?" I asked, sensing that Envy and his mother didn't have a very good relationship.

"How about never?" I heard Envy grumble.

Dante glared at her son. "How about daily lessons?"

Envy gaped at his mother. "What?!"

"Would you prefer in the morning or afternoon?" I asked, taking out my planner.

"Let's say in the morning." Dante sighed. "What times are available?"

"I have a time slot for nine to eleven?" I suggested.

"That early?!" Envy shouted.

Dante nodded, glaring at her son. "Very well. How much?"

"Hm... I have to say roughly twenty thousand Cenz*." I smiled. "Would you like our first lesson to be next Monday?"

I could sense Envy glaring at me during the whole thing. Man, I thought Hunter was bad, when all he did was keep quiet and glare at me. At laast he didn;t yell when I was talking to his mother!

"That sounds fine." Dante stood up. "Thank you for letting us in at such an hour."

Envy muttered something about no needing help again, but I wasn't sure.

"No problem." I stood up, showing both of them the door. I smiled at Envy. "I can't wait to be your teacher." I nodded.

Envy just glared at me more before he left.

I waved goodbye as they went out in the rain.

I had a feeling after teaching Envy, I would never have anymore students...

Well, Serephina never turns down a job!~
