George sat in his chair watching Jack and his team file into his office. The group looked somewhat the worse for the wear, dirty and somewhat battered. However, at the moment they seemed nothing worse than tired.

Sam spoke first, hands folded behind her, "Sir. We ran into some trouble with a Goa'uld."

"Well, I'm glad to see you home in one piece," George said, not finishing before Jack interrupted him.

"It's quite a story," he said with the barest hint of a grin that was-to put it mildly-troubling.

"I'd love to hear it," Hammond replied with a mix of caution and interest.

Daniel filled in the space left for an explanation, but with a mutter Hammond could barely decipher. "I'm not so sure you would."

He gave the archaeologist a curious look for a moment before Teal'c decided to speak up.

"What should we do with the weasel?" His tone was no-nonsense, but his face showed no sign of the particular brow raise that meant he had special dislike for this Goa'uld.

"Sir...I think he should get a medal," Jack said, throwing Hammond further into confusion.

"What ar-" He could say nothing today without being interrupted, though this time it was a small furry head appearing out of Carter's pack, beady eyes focusing on him for a split second before darting to the desk. A flash of fur and a crash followed, the confusing combination of which shot Hammond out his chair.

All he could do was look between SG-1 and the ferret dragging a metal pen away from the pile it had knocked to the floor when Teal'c spoke, still serious, regardless of the others in the team starting to snicker. "I agree. He performed most admirably."
