A/N: Because when there's one in front of Yui, dealing with her isn't.

School had been out for twenty minutes, but the club room was still half empty. Mio gazed silently out the window, trying to enjoy the quiet. She and Mugi had already finished eating, but the other two were yet to be seen.

The blonde returned from replacing dishes and sat down next to her. "Think they'll be much longer?"

"Dunno," Mio mumbled. She then turned sharply and leered at the door. "Brace for it."

"Huh?"

"Three, two, one…"

"CAKE TIME!"

Yui burst through the door, her scream resounding down the hallway. Ritsu followed in behind her, closing the door with a little more emphasis than necessary.

Mugi stared at Mio with glittering eyes. "That's amazing, Mio-chan!"

The bassist's face deadpanned. "Not really. Where have you two been, anyway?"

"This one," Ritsu replied, grabbing Yui by the collar, "danced right into a teacher carrying a ton of papers, so we had to help pick them up."

Mio's eyebrow arched. "Danced?"

"Danced."

"Well, hurry up; we're late enough when you're on time."

"Cake first," Yui chirped, trying and failing to break free.

"Hold it," Ritsu shot back, snaring the girl in a headlock. "You thank me first."

"For what?"

"For helping you back there, of course."

"But…" Yui whined, reaching for the cake. She writhed around trying to force her way out, but the drummer held firm. Instead, she did the first thing to cross her mind: turned and kissed Ritsu squarely on the lips.

Everyone in the room froze. Yui had enough time to escape and devour two pieces of cake before anyone reacted.

"WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?" Ritsu shouted, blood rushing to her face.

Yui stared blankly back at her, fork in mouth. "What?"

Mio tapped the girl next to her on the shoulder. "Hey, Mugi…"

"Hm?"

"Your…um…nose is bleeding."

"Oh! Sorry," the blonde answered, quickly wiping it with a napkin. "I'm okay."

Ritsu's forehead twitched violently. "'Scuse me," she said, dragging the cake lover out the door again, leaving a few exasperated faces behind.

Outside, Yui's blank stare remained unbroken. "Something wrong, Ricchan?"

Ritsu gave her the most annoyed glare she could muster. "Don't you EVER do that again!"

"Do what?"

A light blush ran across the drummer's face. "Kiss me, idiot."

"Why not?"

"Because," she said, clinging to a thread of sanity, "that's something you should only do if you really mean it."

"But I did."

Ritsu balked. "…Huh?"

"I love Ricchan," Yui grinned broadly, then leaned in and kissed her again. "See?"

Ritsu's face exploded again. "I told you not to do that!"

Yui stared at her for a second before her eyes started glistening. "You…don't like me?"

The thread flittered away. "Hey…"

"No, it's okay, I'm sorry. I'll stop…" She turned and wiped her eyes with her sleeve.

Ritsu sighed heavily, then grabbed the girl's shoulders and planted her lips roughly on Yui's. After a few seconds, she pulled back and put on her sternest look. "You. Tell. Nobody. Got it?"

Yui stared at her in wonder, then flashed a blinding smile. "Got it," she parroted back.

"Good." The drummer turned and opened the door to go back in.

"Ricchan…"

"Hm?"

"Thank you."

Ritsu flushed. "Go," she said, pointing in. They entered in nearly the exact same fashion, sans the door slamming.

"You two are okay then?" Mugi asked.

"Better," Yui chirped, then leaned over and gave Ritsu a peck on the cheek.

In turn, the drummer yanked her into another headlock. "WHAT DID I JUST SAY?"

Mio sighed and buried her face in her palm. "This is going to be a long day…"
