On this half lit day
With your crown beneath your wings

A middle aged woman sat on a cold stone bench just staring out into the world. The light was fading. The glow of the last rays stretched across the horizon. The light just touched her blonde hair making her look like a godess. Her eyes were pools of deep green, it was like looking into a forrest of green with flecks of gold through it. Her mouth was shaped into a small teasing smile, almost as if something was amusing her. It felt as if the world had come alive because this godess was alive and smiling.

It made one think that maybe the world wasn't empty after all.

Where have you gone, my feather light heart?

I blinked and she was gone. Almost as if she was a whisper on the wind. Here one minute and gone the next.

My heart that was light feels like stone. With her gone things, are less bright, less happy.

Where have you gone?

I never imagined I could leave.

The world was that grey place again. It was the same thing day in, day out. When I saw you again the colours returned. All vibrant and strong.

When the journey was coming to a close, I knew you would leave me again but was surprised that you invited me to come with you.

I looked around me and saw a colourless world and then I turned and saw you there. To leave a world that has little colour and follow you into a world that is bright and cheerful, I never thought would come true.

In the glistening
Of the lost and open sky

My eyes sparkled when I realised what you offered me. You gave me the choice before, when I was younger and not wise enough to realise what that offer meant. I threw it back into your face and left you.

As soon as I walked out of your life, I realised something. I love the wild ocean. The sea is huge and I am small. In something soo big you get lost very easily. You need your compass. It was only after my decision that I realised that you were mine.


Tiny piece of you sits
Simple wish waits for reply

The smell of your scent always lingers in the air. Whenever the breeze picks up, I smell you. I whisper things in the air and hope you may one day hear them. I sit back and hope to be surprised one day when I hear your voice replies back.

Where have you gone my feather light heart?

My eyes shut tightly as I hear footsteps. Yet they keep walking. My shoulders sag in defeat. She's not coming.

Where are you?

You mustn't forget what love can see.

Something blocked his vision. The world turned black but my heart still kept going. So I knew that the world still existed around me.

There was a sound of laughter coming from behind me, though the laughter sounded like lots of little bells chiming. It was the most prettiest sound I'd ever heard. I knew who it was and my heart pounded hard in my ribs.

I turned slowly around and there she was in all her glory. Her golden hair glowing and that smile on her face but the most important thing was her eyes. The eyes were shining with an inner fire that made her seem like an angel.

My lips curved into a smile and I finally knew what love was and now that I'd found it again I wasn't letting go. Ever.
