It's Been So Long
Notes: In preparation for the story on Mrs. Pugh's family with Mandalicious (our 7th collaboration) I decided to write a character sketch on Mrs. Pugh's daughter Marlene. We meet all of Mrs. Pugh's children and her grandchildren in the 2nd chapter of Holiday Memories and their characters are further developed throughout that story. Marlene is the same age as Grace. Mandalicious and I co-created Mrs. Pugh's children and grandchildren. We own no characters from Annie.
My mom just called me on the phone. It was great to hear her voice again. It's been about five years since she got the job working for Oliver Warbucks. I can't believe it's been that long. It's equally amazing that my little girl Marie is turning seven soon. I love her so much. My mom called to invite us over for Thanksgiving dinner at the Warbucks manwsion. It will be great to finally see the house that my mom has been working in. Oliver's wife is the same age as me and I can't wait to meet her. Mom says Grace is like a second daughter to her and that I will get along so well with her. That would be so great. I've grown up my whole life always wanting a sister. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't trade my brothers for anything. I love them both so much but I can't really relate to them on a lot of things the way I could have a bond with a sister. After Daddy died in the war it was hard because I knew that I wouldn't have any siblings after Ralphie. I miss my father so much and wish he was still with us. Fathers Day is so hard for our family to celebrate. Grace can relate to that because her father died of cancer five years ago. She lost her mom six months later. I am happy to share my mom with her. I can't wait to meet Annie and Molly as well. Marie can't wait to meet her cousins. The other day we talked about going to visit her grandma at the Warbucks mansion. She said "Mommy, I am nervous to meet my new cousins." I hugged her and told her not to worry about it. Molly and Annie will adore her.
