The past week had been very trying for Cameron Mitchell. Most of his troubles had been caused by the Orii, Especially with Adria. Damned if he hadn't seen her somewhere before, Cam just couldn't put his finger on it.
He stood on the bridge of the Odyssey staring out into the blue hyperspace void. This was probably one of those days his mother had warned him about. The ones where you feel like the whole world is out to get you. well, in his case, the whole galaxy. Sure, impending doom was fun, but it only lasted for so long before complete anihilation.
Today it felt like he wanted to do something, he just wasn't sure what. He'd know it if someone mentioned it, but he could not for the life of him think of what he wanted to do. It wasn't until the that moment that the sensation finally registered.
Take my love, Take my land,
Take me where I cannot stand,
I don't care, 'Cause I'm still free,
You can't take the sky from me.
It was Daniel who started the song. Just randomly as he walked in, instead of speaking, he started singing.
Take me out, to the black,
Tell 'em I ain't comin' back
Burn the land and boil the sea,
You can't take the sky from me.
Sam's voice rose out next, followed shortly by his own and Colonel Emerson's.
Ther's no place I can be,
Since I found Serenity,
Burn the land and boil the sea..
And that's how the song ended. They all sat down, bewildered.
"Now that was the scariest thing that's happened to me in a while." Mitchell broke the silence. Everyone looked at him. "Now don't tell me you guys didn't find that disturbing."
"I thought it was fitting. Although I have to wonder where the backing music came from." Sam had the same bewildered look as Mitchell. Daniel just sat quietly on the end, contemplating what had just happened.
"I just hope it doesn't happen again."
(A/N) So Love it, Hate it? Kudos to anyone who can guess who I made some of the references about. (Adria's actress) and why I used the references in context with that song? Please review!
