A/N: Hi all, this idea popped in my head and decided to try it out. Hope you like it.
Draco travels to Hawaii. Where the waves invite you into their home and the sand gets between your toes.
There's adventure in the scenic rainforests and the 3 am beach parties. There are girls and boys and those that are neither or both. To see them jump into a waterfall at will is not uncommon and no one says a thing when someone does something totally unordinary.
He's paler than most on this island and they've responded by handing him suntan lotion and lessons on how to surf the waves. He dyes his hair black and brown and every shade of the rainbow when he's drunk with his friends.
The British accent he never loses is simply mixed with Hawaiian slang and soon enough whenever he travels somewhere else, his answer to where he's from is simply Hawaii. His mannerisms and spray tan make them believe him.
He doesn't touch his wand. It's in his room and he's very aware of it's presence but he hasn't used it since he apparated to the American government.
He doesn't think of his dad, rotting away in the most horrid prison in the world. Nor his mother who sits at home staining at the walls. He doesn't think of Pansy, his best friend who he did love no matter what people thought. Nor Theo or any of his companions.
He dosen't think of the girl that really challenged him since he got to Hogwarts. The girl that he bullied and cheated and hurt in many ways. He certainly didn't think of her screams on his marble floor as his aunt stood above him.
He doesn't think of the boy with the family he mocked for ages. He doesn't think that they're happier than any member of his own in the present.
He doesn't think of the boy who denied his friendship. The one who made Quidditch more than just a game. He doesn't think of the boy who got all the attention.
Or at least he tries not to. Hawaii helps him with that. The endless supply of bikini clad girls distracts him and the booze makes him not think for a while.
But Draco loves Hawaii most because of the huge unpredictable waves that go up and down just as life does. He only hopes that his life can go up again.
