Repsaj frowned and paced by his barren bed. He tried to decide where to rest. He refused to sleep on the bed where his sick wife died hours ago. Repsaj turned to King Kooh after the latter appeared. He saw concern in King Kooh's eyes. ''I'm not resting near your bed.''
King Kooh frowned and nodded at the same time. ''I remember how you're afraid of snakes. What if the cobra is in another chamber? Are you willing to rest by my bed?''
''I don't know.''
King Kooh shrugged. ''Do you need anything now?'' he asked. He watched as Repsaj shook his head. After shrugging again, King Kooh abandoned him.
Repsaj remembered kissing Ailicec on the bed. He remembered her smile. He also remembered tears in her eyes when he had to abandon her for any task King Kooh ordered him to complete. *Do you still remember me, Ailicec? Are you happy where you are? I'll always remember you.*
Repsaj gasped the minute Ailicec's happy spirit materialized. His eye widened after she kissed one side of his face. He watched as Ailicec vanished. He smiled.
Not even spirits forgot.
