A/N: This is...hard to explain. I just randomly wondered if Dorian maybe liked Jekyll and if Jekyll sort of maybe had a crush on him. Then I remembered I was on FanFiction. And then this happened. (Rated T for safety.) SLASH: Don't like, don't read.

Jekyll decided he wasn't going to talk to ANYONE. Especially not Mina or Gray. Definitely not Gray. After that, he realized he needed an excuse. Thankfully, Captain Nemo provided one. Captain Nemo asked Jekyll if he could test out the properties of a certain chemical he'd come across once when exploring in the Nautiloid. Needless to say, Jekyll accepted.

So now, Jekyll was performing an acidity test.

Knock, knock. Oh no.

"Who's there?" He called out.

"Me." Sounded like Gray.

"And who's 'me'?" Had to be sure.

"Dorian Gray, if you must know." Shit.

"You can come in, if you like. The door's not locked." As Gray walked in, Jekyll added "I'm rather busy, though. Nemo asked me to test out the properties of this chemical."

"Well, that's not an issue with me. Acidity?"

"No. It doesn't behave like most bases do, either."

"Quite a conundrum." Gray came closer. "Now what are you doing?"

"Testing to see if it's in the same family as phosphorous."

Gray leaned over, his head just above Jekyll's shoulder. Too close. He's too close. How do I slow my heart down again? Oh right, can't. Just...Just pretend he's not there.

No such luck. "Are you certain it's not acidic?" Gray just barely turned his head. "You might be mistaken." He whispered, tickling Jekyll's ear.

Breathe. Breathe! "Yes. I am sure. Although, you try focusing when there's someone leaning over your shoulder and watching your every move."

"Oh, you're no fun at all, are you?"

"And by that you mean?"

"What do you think?" Oh my god, he's not flirting with me, is he? Is he?

"I think you're teasing me. Not sure of the reason though." Jekyll examined the beaker. Not in the Phosphorous family either.

"Oh, yes I am." Gray slipped his arms around Jekyll's waist. "In several ways."

Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Not good. Not good at all.

"Well, if you're interested, it's not in the Phosphorous family. I wonder, it's not some form of sulfite is it?"

"I don't know. Are you going to test it out, Dr. Jekyll?" Gray's hand was moving downwards.

Yikes! HELP ME SOMEBODY! In other news, he's definitely flirting with me.

"Yes, I am. If you could leave, testing sulfides is often... explosive."

"I suppose. I'll see you at dinner, then?" Gray retracted and strutted to the door.

"If I'm finished with this, yes, most likely." Jekyll appeared very engrossed in his work.

"Well then, I'll see you later." The door shut. Jekyll looked in the mirror.

"I thought he was interested in Mina, Henry?"

"This is Dorian Gray, Edward. I'll bet you he's interested in...several people."

Gray is rather attractive though. Maybe... NO! Gray is the worst idea I've had since Hyde, and that is saying something. Henry! Fine. Maybe not. But that doesn't change the fact that Gray is a bad idea. You still want him though. Not the point, Edward. Not the point.

A/N: Sorry if there was OOC in this. But like I said, this may be the most random thing I've ever done. I'll probably make this into a series of fics. Next one will probably be what happens at dinner. No promises, though!
