"What is Loony doing?" Fillipo Zabini was standing by the window of the Great Hall. Those who ate late dinner were just finishing and Scorpius Malfoy was one of them. Scorpius put his fork down and joined him at the window. Lily Potter was spinning in circles around the lake, this wouldn't have been so odd if it wasn't pouring down rain.
"I wish you wouldn't call her that." Scorpius mumbled.
"Oh, yeah. I forgot, you have a crush on Loony. Good choice, mate." Fillipo laughed.
"I better go get her before she catches a cold." Scorpius left the Great Hall with Fillipo laughing behind him. He grabbed one of the umbrella's propped up against the wall and went out into the rain.
As he approached her, he heard some weird noise coming from the place she spun. "Lily!" He yelled over the thunder.
She kept spinning. He tapped her on the shoulder. She stopped and looked at him. "Hi, Scorpius." She beamed.
"What are you doing?"
"Singing in the rain. It is actually quite a freeing feeling just laughing at the clouds. Have you ever done it?"
Scorpius shook his head. "That's too bad. You should." Lily stated.
He laughed. "Lily, your going to catch a cold."
She shrugged. "I may or may not. I don't really care actually."
"Well at least stand under my umbrella." He held it out to her.
"Well, alright." She stood beside him under the umbrella.
"Doyouwantogoutwithme?" He said.
"What did you say?" Lily looked up at him with big blue eyes. He loved her eyes. He stared at them and took a deep breathe.
"Do you want to go out with me?"
"Hmmmm. Well I don't see why not." She smiled her airy smile at him. He beamed down at her.
"Come on, Lily. Let's go get you into warm clothes." They walked back to the castle.
After that, Scorpius always felt like singing in the rain. Especially when he was with Loony.
