Please read the note at the end.

To date, or not to date, that is the question:

For who could perceive that such relations last?

For how could one, so young as I comprehend,

The responsibilities of such a relation?

Twixt demanding partners and overbearing parents,

What foolish decisions could possibly be made?

To abstain or to indulge in the pleasures of the flesh.

To vow to one's true love- But how shall I be sure?

To love eternal - perchance to heartbreak.

To listen to one's desires or to one's reason,

For when the heart and mind are one, the answer must be no - there's the respect!

For in situations such as these, when will the heart and mind agree?

But the moment's pull is great.

For fate's a strumpet to think

That man's passions will coincide

With a woman's desire and drive.

But the dread of a mangled hear

Her undiscovered love lingers on

Once his eye has turned to another.

Time passes through her misery filled heart

Within due time he has found another.

Without the gain of maturity,

Why dwell on such things upon us?
