Momma Loves You Forever

Summary: Unable to bear her son's cries who has been locked in a cupboard under the stairs, his dead mother materializes and tries to comfort her baby boy.

Four year old Harry, locked in the cupboard under the stairs

Is crying his lungs out

Because he is so cold

Because he is so scared

Because he is so alone

The Dursleys' have left him

To fend for himself

They are out taking their son

To watch the sunset

Forgetting the little boy, whom they show no care

.

.

Harry hugs his tattered blanket

Crying louder than ever

Hiccupping

Sobbing

As the dark takes over

He shuts his eyes tight

But the tears continue to fall

For the little boy with cursed scar

Is seeing things

Which frighten most all

.

.

Just then a hush spreads

He starts feeling warm

He hears a soft voice

Calling him her love

Slowly, he opens his bright green eyes

On his tiny bed, is a woman

Her hair is shiny bright red

Her eyes are just like his

But what sets her apart

Is the beaming smile on her lips

.

.

Wide eyed, Harry gapes at her

As she holds her arms open

Just enough for him to fit in her

Tears fall down her eyes too

But she continues to smile

"Momma?" he asks her.

"Yes!" she cries.

.

.

Throwing away his blanket

He jumps into her lap

He feels content as she holds him tight

Never having been held this way

Never having been loved

Harry asks her why she isn't around

Patting his tiny back

She tells him she's always in his heart.

.

.

"Momma, I love you!"

He says in his cute voice

"Sweetheart, I love you too."

She replies.

"Sleep now honey, I shall sing you a lullaby," she starts away

Sleepyhead close your eyes

Mother's right here beside you

I'll protect you from harm

You'll wake in my arms

Guardian angels are near

So sleep on, with no fear

Guardian angels are near

So sleep on, with no fear.

.

.

She continues to sing in her soft lull voice

As little Harry closes his eyes

She places him on his tiny bed

And pulls the tattered blanket over his head

Humming the lullaby, she continues to protect her baby boy.

.

.

Watching him hungrily

She strokes his messy dark hair

Feeling saddened by her fate

On distancing

From her little angel on the bed.

.

.

The front door opens

The Dursleys' are back

Tears fall down her eyes again, for she has to leave

Gathering strength, she bends over her only son

Kisses him on his forehead and says, "Momma loves you forever, Harry. Always remember that."

And then she's gone just as she came

Next morning Harry wakes up again

Each day he endures the wrath of Dursley household

He still feels cold…he still is scared…but never alone

Because he says to himself, Momma loves you Harry. Always remember that.

A/N: I came up with it because I was feeling sad. I kept hearing Lily's voice when she tells Harry, "Momma loves you Harry…Dadda loves you," in Deathly Hallows II movie. I tear up every time at that scene, also I do imagine that Dursleys' left Harry at home a lot even when he was alone.

So, what do you think of it? Please do review! I'm very nervous about this one…first time I have written anything like this.

PS: The lullaby I used is not mine. I got it off the net
