"what just happened Kate asked looking at her friends and coworkers " Lanie ?" "Javier?"
Both shook their heads
"Martha ?" Kate called "Do you know what just happened ?"
Martha stood and walked over to the table and reached for the photo .." May I " .. "as I expected " she said quietly ..handing it back to Kate .. "You need to go talk to him kiddo "
Okay . Kate nodded her head , stood and walked across the room to Castles bedroom door ..she took a breath and knocked .. "Castle can I come in ?" .. nothing …" Rick?" she called
Yeah Kate you can come in … he called ..
He was standing facing the window looking out into the dark night ..
Rick Are you okay ?
He laughed yes I am okay , fine actually , more than I have been in a long time but .. Whew he let out .. A sigh this is a bit overwhelming ..
"What ? What are you talking about Rick?" .. "Did I miss something ? ".. yeah a lot actually she gave a little nervous chuckle
"Well do you care to share with the rest of the class Ricky ?" she asked a little annoyed
"No, I will share with you .. It will be up to you to decide to share with the rest of the class or not "he said turning to look at her ..
As he turned she noticed that he had something in his hand .. He handed it to her and turned to walk to his closet …
She looked at him puzzled and as he walked away she looked at the picture and froze .. One hand covering her mouth and eyes wide …with shock
She turned to look at him as he laid a guitar on his bed.. She walked over to the bed and looked down at the signature .. To Alex , with all my love , I will miss you when you leave , love Kat ,
"Kate I didn't know before .. I didn't realize it until you started your story "…
"that's what was wrong with you ?" she asked quietly
"Yeah he chuckled .. I was shocked , relieved happy even " , I always wondered what had happened to you , and I don't think there has been a day that went by that I didn't think of you and wonder where you were and how you were" .. "he said reaching and putting a hand on her cheek lightly rubbing it with his thumb .. ,
He watched as the emotions ran across her face .. He didn't speak he just stood there touching her face .. And watching her letting it al sink in ..
She took as step back her eyes roamed his face ..She let out a small gasp like she had been holding her breath and in that moment . , the Detective Kate Beckett that he had gotten to know over the last few years was instantly replaced with the teen age care free Kat that he had spent his whole life missing .
She rushed into his arms crying and laughing at he same time .. Then she did the last thing he ever expected Detective Kate Beckett to do, she crushed her lips to his .. Lightly kissing him for a moment then with a pent of frenzy of 15 years she let go and let her self feel again …
After a while they pulled apart .. " Um Kate . we need to go tell our friends something out there , I can just guess all the things Lanie has going her mind right now" .. He laughed
"Yeah .. Lanie is gonna Love this "….. Kate laughed taking his hand and leading him out to explain to their friends …
