To say that Jareth never looked at Sarah, since her little adventure in the labyrinth would be a lie. It had been six years since Sarah Williams went through the labyrinth. Not a day had passed when Jareth didn't glance at Sarah through crystals. Jareth was deeply in love with Sarah; he had been for a long time. He knew Sarah was in love with him but was simply in denial. One of these days, Sarah would admit her undying love for Jareth and they are together, unfourtunely this hadn't happen yet.
A crystal shimmer in the moonlight as it spun around the black leather encased hand. It was joined with three other crystals. The original crystal was on top of three other crystals being spun.
Jareth leaned against the wall, looking in the distance as the crystals spun faster and faster in his palm. The crystals held no image within them, except for the swirling rainbow of colors that seem to have sunburst from the center. The crystals seem to glow within also. Almost emitting some sort of worldly power. The power seemed to be endless, much like the person spinning the crystals. His long blonde hair was blowing behind him, as his clothes and cape remained still. His mismatched eyes were unfocused as the crystals spun.
Jareth's eyes became more focus, as the crystals became clearer. The colors in the crystals began to fade, slowly. The once vibrant colors were now in a state of nothing. It was as if, the colors had never existed.
The crystals started to slow down. The shift in the wind, signal that something was floating in the air. Three of the iridescent crystals were floating in the breeze. The crystals show the same image of a young girl.
She had long auburn hair, which was filled with lace, ribbons and flowers. Her flawless pale shoulders were bare and she was dressed in a beautiful mother of pearl dress. Her lovely green eyes were slightly glazed over with confusion. Her eyes often glance at the top of the crystal, in confusion. Almost as she didn't understand, why she was in the crystal.
As the crystals continued to travel on the air, till the distance between the crystals and it's creator was great. The crystals than pop out of existent, causing glitter to spray everywhere. The image of the girl was almost gone. Except for the crystal still in the creator's hand. Her image still remains in that one crystal, but she seems to be a different scene.
She could be seen walking around in the twisted scene. The other dancers all were leering at her. They all wore masks. Some were half masks and others full masks. Some were held back by ribbons and others with sticks or rods.
Her eyes often glance around the room. Almost as if she was looking for someone or something. The dancers continued to follow her. No matter where Sarah went in the ballroom, the dancers kept appearing where she was in the ballroom. It was if, they were hiding something from her. Or maybe it was someone. Sarah looked so confused.
When she did find the person, she was searching for she was shocked.
The crystal smashed.
Jareth looked down sadly, at his hand where he accidentally crushed the crystal
Jareth sighed. He looked in the distance, "What are you doing now Sarah," he muttered.
Jareth shifted his position and shook off, the remaining crystal bits from his glove. He turned his gaze to the amazing red-orange sky.
"Soon Sarah," he whispers into the wind.
