I always wondered who Hawkeye would have gotten his gorgeous eyes from so I came up with this little drabble.
Please review and tell me what you think of it!
My mother was a typical Italian woman; she had olive skin, dark hair and the most beautiful smile. But by some accident at birth mum ended up with cerulean blue eyes. No one else on her side of the family has them.
I inherited those eyes and not a day went by when I was a kid where I didn't hear at least one person comment on how I got 'Angela's eyes'. Sure I look uncannily like my father but people are just fascinated by the fact that I have blue eyes. I personally can't see what is so great about them.
A lot of the women I have dated say that when they look into my eyes they are reminded of the ocean. I believe Trapper even said that once although he was drunk at the time so I let it slide.
I hate my eyes, I really do and I can't understand why people have such a fascination with them. I can't stand looking in the mirror because when I do those eyes are always there staring back at me. When I see my eyes I am always reminded of…mum.
