Cameron knew she could be fired on the spot. She recognised the magnitude of the risk she was about to take and yet, she couldn't stop herself. Not that she wanted to, she felt like she'd been gearing up to this moment for the past year. Vaguely she thought that the amount of alcohol she'd consumed may have affected her decision making, but then House pointed out Cuddy and her vision narrowed.
When asked about it later, she wouldn't remember what happened. The only memory she had from that night was of soft lips and House whooping in the background.
