Scattered ashes fell from the sky. A planet, burned by death and destruction, silently crying as the remnants of fire rained like snow. Ten soldiers lay together, dressed in colors they had worn for years, unable to forgive themselves for one fact.

They had failed.

An AI chip snapped in half, the gun it had inhabited torn to pieces. Another cracked and dying, the AI inside slowly fading out of existence. A heavy weight held over their heads, the countless deaths of the innocent.

Everyone was dead.

The dark blue one, the innocent and kind one, opened his mouth and began to sing, tone low and sad.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine."

The others stared, before each one began to join in.

"You make me happy, when skies are grey."

Ashes covered them, blurring the red that covered their bodies, but did nothing to stop the flow of it as it stained the ground that held many graves.

"I want to tell you, how much I love you."

The voices became softer, before only one was left, the one who had begun the song, filling the loney planet with his tune.

"Please don't take my sunshine awa-"

Silence.
