Disclaimer: I don't own harry potter or anything that seems remotely familiar in anyway.

A/N: This is a female Harry/Severus Snape as the end result and in the early years female Harry/Neville Longbottom. There will be slight Dumbledore bashing. I don't have a beta yet, so I would love to have someone's help with that.

Prologue

"Who would have thought that throughout all of the pain and grief, that this is how it ends," she thought bitterly as the spells keep flying from her wand, as if they had a mind of their own. She was in the middle of what could only be described as a field of dead with the last few still alive fighting with magic.

She knew that if she looked down, it would all be for nothing and she would give in to death just to be with everyone again, but mainly to be with him again, the one who has had her heart through this life and now through the next as well. At this point in the fight with so few left on her side, she didn't know if it would be better to die and be reunited again with him or continue to fight for a cause that she once believed in.

Just then she looked away from her opponent, and saw one of the last people on her side still alive, the man she always looked to as a father, die by the hand of his brainwashed cousin. It was at this act that she made her decision, she was going to kill the monster that started this all, and hopefully get mortally injured in the process to join everyone else after.

Once she made her choice she stopped blocking and dodging the spells and started to throw the most lethal and nearly impossible to block spells she knew. At this point the monster had trouble keeping up with her, his only hope was injuring her enough to the point where she couldn't fight any longer. She, on the other hand no longer felt any pain or loss, all she had on her mind killing the monster and joining him once more.

With this hope in her heart, she threw a blasting curse at the monster's head. The monster was unable to bring up a shield in time to stop it, so blood and brain matter went everywhere. When the curse hit its mark, she fell to her knees thankful that it was over and that the monster's last curse made its mark as well. The last curse that was fired before the monster's head exploded was an over powered cutting curse aimed at her neck.

After a few seconds, all that was left from the massive battle, was a field filled with dead bodies and loss of the world's most powerful witches and wizards.
