Wrote this after the Doctor Who episode 'Dinosaurs on a Spaceship' and thought I'd type it up. Enjoy!

Sherlock stormed into Lestrade's office, followed by John.

"Your imbeciles won't let me see the body!"

Lestrade minimised a window on his computer. "Calm down Sherlock – I'll put in a few calls. Demanding things doesn't get you anywhere."

Sherlock snorted as Lestrade picked up the phone, standing up and walking to a different corner of the office. As he passed Lestrade's desk, Sherlock casually slipped into the office chair and brought up the window, beginning to read whatever was on the page. Just as Lestrade put the phone down, Sherlock gave a snort of laughter. He began reading from the webpage:

"John Riddell married a woman called Nefertiti. Her birth certificate has not been found, but both of them claimed she was born in Egypt and was the wife of a ruler for some time before she met John. He also claimed to have a genuine dinosaur tooth on a cord round his neck, but refused to let it be examined by scientists. Oh please!"

"Well thank you for the interest you've shown in my family history, now you can look at the body if you behave."

Sherlock managed to check himself long enough to enquire how Gregory Lestrade and John Riddell were related.

"He was my grandfather."

Sherlock practically flew out the room, and John only had time to smile and comment that the story was interesting before he was called away by Sherlock.

Lestrade settled back down in his seat and continued reading:

'John and Nefertiti had two children: a boy called John and a girl called Amy. They continued to explore Africa and other countries, discovering new species and collecting trophies. They eventually retired to Egypt, and spent many years working with archaeologists among the pyramids.'

Lestrade smiled and leaned back in his chair; it was stories like this that made him glad he'd decided to research his family history.

I thought it was a nice way of linking them, hope you liked it.
