Her demure form is hidden behind a knobby tree.
Silken indigo strands fall over light opal irises. Thick lashes bat. Petite shoulders rise and fall and a breath is released.
She peeks her head out and her gaze glimmers at a boy with strands of burnished gold and lively midnight-blue eyes. He's flashing a sun-filled smile too, at a girl. They look like they are getting along really well. Her eyes resemble big green emeralds, and her hair looks like sunburn, or a rose.
Like a flower, like a tiny seedling waiting to bloom, the girl longs to come out. But something inside her tells her not to — not to disturb them.
The teenaged girl's words are whispery, hushed: "Naruto-kun . . ."
"Pining again?"
A dark voice, deep and rough like granules of sand, and yet cool like smooth velvet. A masculine voice.
When she tilts her head up, she sees Uchiha Sasuke, or "Sasuke-kun", as the pretty girls once called him. Dark eyes. Chiseled contours. He was the one who'd walked in darkness and come back to the light, the one who lured you into the depth of his enigmatics and effigies with just his look and voice; Naruto's opposite, and yet his best friend since childhood.
Sasuke. Who is this boy? Everyone loves him. Or they are frightened by him. He scowls. He is a genius. Uncritically beautiful, paper white skin, and ebony spikes. She has noticed that he is usually by himself. Yet here he is, talking to her. Isn't he annoyed by her stutter?
Not that he talks much, but it is a bit overwhelming.
"Well? Not going to say anything?"
The questions hang in the air like frosty icicles waiting to crash. Cold, unrelentingly razor-sharp.
"You're jealous, aren't you, Hyuuga?"
A subtle note of loathing pierces the cruelly yet softly spoken words.
Quivering pallid lips part to form the words. A sentence is stammered that drenches even the blue-shone haired girl in amazement; "I-I'm not."
"You're lying."
Tension causes the blood flowing through her veins to curdle in a sickening way.
"I-I'm n-not lying."
She bows her head so that her long, shining cascade of blue satin hides most of her face.
"Hn. You expect me to believe that?"
He is standing very close to her now, his dark, ink-black irises piercing her pale ivory ones, with just a dash of curiosity swirling amidst an array of crimson red flecks . . .
Color shoots through her lily-white cheeks insantaneously. She replies, "Y-Yes."
A moment of silence. Light moonstone eyes collide with perfectly charcoaled ones once more. Deep breaths are taken to calm a pounding heart, and he tilts his head to regard her.
"Why?"
"B-Because seeing N-Naruto-kun happy m-makes me happy." And then she smiles. Her porcelain skin, her piquant dollface, her diamond orbs — shine.
The voice similar to ironed silk, or still water, turns startlingly soft.
"Then he's . . . a fool."

Naruto -- not mine.
This piece is dedicated to Reanne.
&& fellow SasuHina lovers.
Hopefully you can see the hint of SasukexHinata in the end though vague and subtle it is. I was experimenting as you can see and
well it didn't quite turn out as magical as I hoped. );
Basically, Hinata is happy for Naruto and Sakura and Sasuke doesn't get it.
I definitely want to write more for this fandom in the near future.
