Naruto often felt like nobody cared about him when he was a kid. No one gave a damn about him, and nobody knew who he really was, as nobody cared to find out. People just thought that he was a dirtbag.
Hinata also felt like nobody gave damn, and that nobody knew who she was. She was always alone and lonely. She often felt like a dirtbag.
So when they found each other, they took the time to get to know each other, and couldn't believe what they had missed.
24, Jem
Most shinobi lived as if they had 24 hours left. They never wasted any of their life, as it could be over that night. On a mission, they were focused, not thinking further than the next challenge on that mission. It was pointless to plan a future for people who might not be alive to see it. Because in 24 hours, then it could be their grave that people were laying flowers on.
Home, Three Days Grace
For Sasuke, he felt that his home had disappeared with Itachi. His house was not a home, Konoha was not a home, and with Orochimaru… well, that could hardly be described as a happy occasion. He barely remembered what a home felt like, and because of that he felt that it would be better to give up trying to find it.

Kakashi would have done anything, anything to bring his old team back. Not realising what he had until it was gone, he didn't believe that happy ever after existed. In fact, he never thought that it had existed to begin with. He knew that fairy tales were full of nothing, and that they were just that- fairy tales. They were never going to happen, and his life with his old team, Team Minato, was gone.

No matter what happened, life went on for Naruto.
After every setback, after every failed attempt, he would pick himself up and carry on with his life. After every fight, after every visit to the hospital or to Sakura, he would carry on. This way, when he spent his last breath on earth, he wouldn't feel any regrets.
Because life went on.

When he died, Itachi did not have the cliché 'life passing before his eyes' moment. He just felt numb. He finally felt at peace. He had fulfilled his duty as an ANBU, Akatsuki member, clan member, son and, finally, brother.
Headstrong, Trapt
If there was one word to describe kunoichi, then it was headstrong. Most people (i.e, those who are not their boys) are surprised by the levels of feistiness found in each kunoichi. However, any person who threatened their boys was in serious trouble, because kunoichi were headstrong, and could quite literally take anyone on, if their boys were threatened.
A/N: I've done this for another fandom, but some of my music fits better with Naruto. Also, as I was writing this, I realised just how depressing some of my music is. Hmm…
