And Love Said No

A/N: I'M SO PISSED. OPIE WAS MY FAVORITE.

Whatever. Review, and enjoy.

"Hey..." was the first thing that he said over the phone. Jax took a minute before he said anything else. Of course he told Tara that he was safe and he was getting out soon. But informing her about Opie was the most difficult to say. Even harder when his last sentence was, "Please tell Gabrielle...somehow."

Click. Tara swallowed hard. She ended the phone call and released her hand with the phone to her side gently. She was regretting the moment where she had to turn around. Everything was about to go straight to hell. Another person, another part of the family was killed. But this one was about to hit even harder to anyone. Especially one woman who was patiently waiting just like her, for the man she had was in love with to get released.

Her body shifted to the redhead behind her. How was she going to tell her? She didn't know how. Hell, she couldn't even form any words to even say the words "Opie's dead." Tara didn't want to believe it herself. She could only stare at her friend with scared eyes. This was going to destroy her.

Gabrielle knew who that was. She had a excited look on her face. She thought it was finally that time, they were coming out, coming home. And everything was going to be okay. "So, whats going on?"

Tara still said nothing. She had no ability to her voice. Shock and the feeling of the unbearable news brought a large amount of guilt. Her body language instead, did the speaking for her. Gabrielle's mouth gaped open slightly. Her facial expression was no longer happy, but a serious and unstable one. A heart wrenching silence formed between the two women. She knew what happened now. But she wanted to deny any possibility.

Her blue eyes flickered a couple times. "The only thing...that should come out of your mouth is that my husband will be staying in there for only a bit longer than we expected."

Tara looked down in shame, her lips pushed tightly together. Her words were poorly kept together to be strong to explain what happen. "Brie, I'm...really sorry..."

The redhead inhaled deeply, desperately grabbing onto any air. But she felt suffocated, everything around her went black and what felt like forever. She didn't know what was happening at all. When she regained aware of her surroundings, the young woman found herself falling onto the floor. Gabrielle was on her her knees, sobbing uncontrollably. Her cheeks stung from the pain that raced down her face. She placed closed fists and her forehead onto the floor. The tears she mourned for Opie fell and hit the white tiles. She screamed as loud as she could as her entire world broke down. Her best friend and the only man she ever loved was dead. She could only grab onto the fact that someone stole him from her. She didn't know how, or even why.

Gabrielle grasped onto her pregnant stomach, crying out for Opie, wishing this was some sick nightmare. She was going to tell him after he got that he had a another one on the way. And now it was all over.

She didn't resurface.
