Brian Williams was in the garden when he heard the noise.
"Doctor?" he said, turning around.
"I've brought someone to see you, Brian. I'll get tea." He strode inside the house. Brian looked at the woman who was now exciting the TARDIS. She was very pretty, and had wild blonde hair. She looked like she'd been crying recently. They sat down on the patio chairs.
"Where's Rory, and Amy?" he asked. The woman swallowed.
"They're. They're not coming back Brian."
And so she explained everything. How they had fought against statues that killed you by letting you live, how they jumped from the building together. The amusement at the grave with his name, and Amy's fight for the Doctor to let her go. And the book. She handed him the book. Brian cried, as was expected of him.
"But there's something else." She said, once the story was over. Brian didn't look up from the book, which had tears splattered on the cover.
"They never did tell you about their honeymoon, did they?"
The Doctor stood at the door, holding the tea and smiling as they hugged.
"Hiya, Grandad." River whispered.
