Wouldn't life be wonderful if we could all be more like Murdock?

If humor and spontaneity and joyful play came easily?

If fear of being judged by our peers didn't keep us from dancing?

If brotherhood and loyalty and principles were first on everyone's mind?

If we all had the willingness to see things from a unique perspective...

and had the wisdom to roll with the punches?

The courage to rush in where lesser hearts won't dare.

The desire to set things right.

The kindness to pick up the stray by the side of the road and give it comfort, because one time we were strays too...

and because we expect no less of ourselves.

If fashion and style were not as important as a broken-in leather bomber and a pair of Chuck Taylors because they show who we are and where we've been.

And we know that, in truth, the best accessory one can wear is a quirky smile.

If we were willing to follow, but knew when to lead.

If we feared no prison because we know that if we bide our time, we can always escape.

If we weren't afraid to fly, but took to the heavens every chance we got.

If we never lost our humor no matter what hand we are dealt.

If we knew how to create tools with any junk Fate gives us, and with those weapons, we frightened our enemies, but never truly hurt them.

If being thought of as crazy or being called a fool didn't make us sad.

If we realized that sometimes people who call us those things don't really hate us, but see in our freedom something they fear or something they lack.

If possessions meant little because our conscience means more.

If we could see beyond facades and know that sometimes tough guys are tender, leaders are quiet, and play boys are lonely.

If we all had a team... and knew that sometimes family isn't just those bound to us in blood, but rather our brothers-in-arms.
