The Battle of Hearts

It was the first Quidditch match of the year, Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw. Hermione Granger
had her eyes glued to the sky, watching the Gryffindor seeker, who other than Harry Potter, search
the sky for the small golden snitch. "YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAY TO GO HARRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" yelled Ron Weasley,
Harry's best friend (other than Hermione of course.) Ron was celebrating Harry's victory in only 2
minutes. Hermione was just gaining up her courage to go congratulate his 1st victory in the 5th year
(she'd liked Harry since their 3rd year.) when she saw Cho Chang(who also had a crush on Harry)
going up there first.(she just happened to be the Ravenclaw seeker in her 6th year.) Hermione
started to walk away, when she saw her give Cho give her a look that no doubt meant, 'That's right,
go ahead walk away, you know you're no match for me in a fight for Harry.' 'Well, if its a fight you
want than a fight you'll get, let the games begin,' thought Hermione. So, she gathered up her courage
and went over, much to Cho's suprise and dissapointment. She then said to Harry, jumping up and
down, "WE WON! WE WON! YOU WERE WONDERFUL!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!" "Thanks," he said
in abashment. She gave him a quick, I mean quick peck on the cheek and scurried off, embarrassed.
Only one person saw that little kiss, Cho Chang.
Hermione was leaving the Quidditch field when, Cho grabbed her away
and took her to the other side of the castle. "Hermione you know you
are no match for me in a fight for Harry, he will never ever like you so
stop trying," she said very coldly. "Cho, if I am no match for you, why
did you bring me out here? Is it because you are scared, scared that I
might actually get Harry to like me, instead of you? I think that is it, is
it not? You are scared that the little smart witch in her 5th year may
actually succeed in getting Harry to be her boyfriend?" she asked.
"Why you little..." she said, throwing a curse at her. Hermione worked
the counter curse. Cho was furious. Hermione said "I'm leaving now,ha, a
Triculosious curse, Neville could do better than that," she said.
