A Poem for My Beloved
A fanfic
Hey everyone! This is my second fanfic, and I'm sorry if it's not as good as A Change of Heart and that it's so short! But I promise you that if you review (again NO FLAMES!) and give me a ton of ideas that I will create another fanfic for you! Thanks you! .
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or any of the characters, do own the plot line though!
Sauskue: Hn.
Alys: Your too cute you that.
Sauskue:: *sweat drop* ...
She sat facing the computer screen, her emerald eyes glazed over slightly from staring at the screen for so long. Her cat sat in her lap keeping up a constant stream of purring. Her trash can was full of rejected lines of poems and the occasional poem she had finished, but had decided did not portray her emotions the way she had wanted.
She had finally settled up one of her many poems, but now she faced another challenge completely. She bushed her pink bangs out of hers eyes before returning her fingers to the computer keys, and there they sat motionless. She was nervous, after spending all of this time working on a poem for Sasuke, she didn't know if she had the nerve to actually send it to him.
Reasons not to ran through her head: What if he laughs at me? What if he thinks I'm too clingy and decides to leave me? Or worse… what if he decides he not ready to deal with these emotions and leaves me? This was after all his 1st relationship, and this was all so new to him.
The thing was, it was new to her too, and sure she had a few boyfriends before this, but this? This was something different.
Her finger hovered over the enter button, waiting for the command to send the poem to Sasuke. Sakura bit her bottom lip before muttering to her self,
"What's the worse that could happen?"
She realized the minute she said it that it was a huge mistake for the list of reasons why ran through her head once more, but by then it was too late for she had already hit the send button.
She looked that the screen in surpise not reading the words upon the screen, that told her that the message had been sent.
She imagined him reading line after line of her hopelessly romantic, (at lest in her eyes it was romantic.) poem and cringed. She looked down at the poem and began to read it out loud , trying to convince herself that he would like it and that it would not cause him to panic and leave her.
She read in a soft whisper. :
I love you.
I love it when you hug me,
Although it feels
Like you always pull
Away
Too soon.
I love you.
I love how you are seemingly always smiling
Except when I reveal the true ugliness of the world
To you, then your smile flatters and it makes
Want to laugh!
I love how you always act surprised when
I ask to hold
Your Hand.
Although there are times
When I wish I didn't
Have to ask,
I love how new all of this is to you.
I love you.
She let out a soft sigh as she finished before logging out of her email account and turned to look out the window. Before whispering one more time, "I love you…"
