Yusuke sat in the back of the car. Kurama was driving and Kuwabara was in the passenger's seat. They were all quiet. Koenma had sent them to rescue a girl named Yukina. So far it had been a wild goose chase.

Yusuke was sure someone had been following them for a while now. Kurama and Kuwabara seemed unconcerned. "Even if someone is following us what are they going to see?" Kurama had said. "Three cops looking for a missing girl that's all."

Yusuke remained unconvinced but he had to admit no one would figure out they were spirt world detectives has long has they didn't have to use their ablities. He looked out the window boredly and could swear he saw something black right next to the car but when he blinked it was gone. "I must be imageing things. Yusuke thought.

The small boy sat under the tree. He was cold and hungery and tired. He knew he couldn't rest forever but it would be nice to sit down for just a momment. The detectives wouldn't be here for a while anyways.

He closed his red eyes and allowed himself to drift off. His dreams were haunted by Yukina's face and he was quickly back awake. "Damn it." he muttered softly.

Kurama pulled up to a house. "We could ask here." he said opening the car door. Yusuke led the way inside.There was a man who was putting stuff onto a fire. He paid no attention to the three intruders in his house.

Yusuke approched him and said. "Hello we're looking for this girl." he held out the picture of Yukina it was ripped in half the gang had no idea what was in the other half. "Have you seen her?"

The man shouted something in reply. Yusuke couldn't understand him but the guy was angry so he was proably just cussing anyways.

"Sorry to have bothered you." Yusuke grummbled.He began to walk away. "Yusuke move!" Kurama shouted and the teen jumped to the side. The man had tried to hit Yusuke with a shovel. "What the hell?! Shotgun!" Yusuke did his special technique.

The man was knocked back by Yusuke's attack and slamed into the wall. "Come on! Let's get the hell out of here!"

The three of them ran out to the car where Kurama let out a gasp. "Someone cut the tires!"

The boy watched the three of them head to the village by foot. They had no idea what they were getting themselves into.

"Hold on Yukina I'm coming."

He began to follow them. The one with the black hair had been aware of his pressence for a while now but he really didn't care. He would save his sister or he would die trying.

If she was here then he understood why they would want her. To get him but if she wasn't then this was just another goose chase.
