While Tohru was cleaning the house while shigure, kyo, and yuki went out the house phone started to ring.
Tohru pov
Hm…I wonder who could that be. After I put the cleaning supplies away, I went to pick up the phone. "Hello, this is sohma resident how may I help you?" I said after I pick up the phone.
"Tohru, this is me your grandfather."
"Oh… hi grandpa, how are you?"
"I'm doing good, I was wondering if you would like to come to my house for a visit?"
A visit?... What should I do… I cant leave the house without their permission? Maybe I could just leave a note explaining where I'm going. I hope they wont be too mad….
"Tohru are you-
"Of course I would go to your house, just let me write a note to my friends saying where I be going to okey"
"Okey, I be waiting"
Grandpa pov
For the last couple of days I saw my granddaughter smiling all the time and doing who knows what. But knowing my granddaughter probably doing chores. Which to me has me curious as to why she is the way she is now. For as long as I can remember Tohru always smiles even after my son death and her mother Kyoko dies and I couldn't understand what makes her strong enough to overcome this? That's why I decided to find out by inviting her to my house and once for all figure out what makes my granddaughter strong.
Knock Knock
Hmmm… It must be my granddaughter. While I went to open the door I saw my granddaughter with a smile on her face just like always.
"Please come in Tohru" I said with a smile on my face.
Normal pov
"So, Tohru how was living with living sohma been?"
"Oh It was amazing grandpa, I got to meet new people and help with their problems" said Tohru while drinking and eating at her grandfather's back yard table.
"I see… tell me Tohru… why do you like doing chores?"
"Because its fun helping people and it's the least I could do especially after all they did for me".
I see… the way she says it… Its like she saying automatic without a second thought. I wonder if her friends even know why she behaving this way? But either way I have to know the real reason.
"Be honest with me Tohru, I mean even after both of your parents passed away… how is it that you still smiling and help with your friends problems when you barely let your true emotion out."
While Tohru put her food down, she stood up and started to walk toward him.
"Tohru-
His words was cut off when he felt tohru arms around him. What tohru says next surprised him more.
Tohru with sad smile said "The real reason why I don't want them to help me with any of my problems… was because when my friends are with me… This pain on my chest stops hurting and my nightmares fades away"
After tohru says this, she let go and help her surprise grandpa cleans up the mess.
Grandpa pov
After Tohru told me the truth, I was surprise that she told me the truth. But to me it makes me happy to know that I finally understand why she does these things.
Before Tohru left she let out a real big smile and said "And that's why, I smile all the time and why I like chores soo much. Thank you grandpa for everything."
Well that's the end of my oneshot. I really hope any of the characters are oc.
