Sanada's Secret
"So, that is the last one.' Mumbled Sanada to himself. It's been a while since he cleaned up his room. Though he didn't want to admit it, it had become a real mess and his mother was actually right she forced him to finally clean up.
'Genichirou!' shouted his mother downstairs. 'Your friend Atobe-kun is here' Sanada's movements froze for a moment. Atobe was here? 'I'll send him upstairs!'
'NO!' was the only word Sanada could say. His eyes flashed around the room. He didn't know what Atobe came for, but he definitely couldn't come in.
'You room would better be cleaned up already!' He heard footsteps on the stairs.
'I'll be down in a second!' Sanada screamed. 'You don't have to come upstairs!' The sound of footsteps faded away. But in a split second they came up again.
Again Sanada's eyes flashed around the room. He needed an excuse to keep Atobe out of his room. If he saw it… he didn't want to think about what would happen after. Yukimura stepped into his room once, by accident and burst out into laughter. After that he had made sure none of the other members ever came into it.
He saw how the handle of the door went down. As if his life depended on this he ran over to the other side of the room and pushed the door back into the lock.
'Genichirou, open the door!' commanded his mother. She seemed closer then she should be.
'I'll be downstairs in a minute, just wait there!' The pressure on the door disappeared. Sanada let go as well and took a deep breath. He was saved. Just in the instant of that thought the door flew open! Sanada gasped for air and wanted to shout...
´What?' asked his mother, she looked at Sanada's red face. 'How do you want me to check on you room if you tell me to stay downstairs.' She glared at Sanada for a moment, then she walked behind him. 'I guess your room is looking fine, you're free to go. But don't you think it would be time to…'
'No.' mumbled Sanada. She sighed.
'Go already.' His mother pushed him to the stairs. 'You can't let Atobe-kun wait much longer.' Slowly Sanada went down the stairs. Atobe was waiting at the end of it.
'Hi.' Said Sanada.
'Hi.' Answered Atobe, definitely more at peace then him.
'What did you come for?' asked Sanada, leaving behind all of his politeness. Atobe smirked.
'How about a match?' Sanada frowned his eyebrows.
'A match?' he asked. Atobe nodded.
'We're around here to visit a client of my family, but they're completely out of my league.' Sanada smirked as well. So they were plain and boring and made Atobe yearn for a challenging match. That was all!
'I'll get my racket.'
As they walked away Sanada glared at the window of his room. His eyes widened as he saw the pink plush duck he bought when he went to elementary school. Not only that one, but also the big blue dragon and the red pig! No way! Here he thought he'd escaped the certain scandal.
'Something wrong?' asked Atobe. Sanada shook his head.
'No nothing.' Answered he and faced forward again. That time long ago Yukimura promised to keep it a secret, but he wasn't sure if Atobe would. His thought wandered off to his collection of plush toys again. Maybe his mother was right, he needed to get rid of them! Atobe gave him a strange look. Sanada instantly smiled.
'Let's get to the court as fast as possible, really need to hit something!'
