Just a little Jamille from Big Time Girlfriends.

POV: James

I watched Logan and Camille together from behind the bushes that were lining the Palmwoods pool. I was jealous of how he could get a steady girlfriend and I couldn't. It almost wasn't fair. I was the hot one. I was the better singer. I was the one who was supposed to get the girls, not the smart one.

I was keeping such an intent watch on my friends that I didn't hear Kendall come up beside me. "Whatcha doing?"

"Holy!" I fell over the row of bushes and onto the pool deck, in wide open. I flipped off my tree-hat so Logan wouldn't see, but he already did.

"James?" He looked down at me. "What are you doing? Were you spying on us?"

I looked up at him, an expression of fear plastered on my face. I told my muscles to get up and run, but they wouldn't move. I was just frozen there against my will.

Kendall came over to me and pushed my jaw up. I hadn't realized that my mouth had been hanging open – mainly because Camille looked really cute in her clingy tank-top and skimpy shorts.

Finally, my legs decided to work, and I ran to the nearest staircase. I heard Logan calling after me, but I didn't care. I needed to get out of that situation, and fast.

Once I was inside the closed doors of the staircase, I sank against a wall and rubbed my face. What was I doing, spying on my best friend and his girlfriend? What kind of a friend was I?

The door opened and Camille stepped in. She leaned against the door and looked at me. "What is with you lately? You've been acting so weird." She sounded critical, but she was smiling sweetly – it was almost too sweet for me to handle.

"Camille…" I stood up and held her hands in mine. "I… I know this isn't right, but I'm in love with you."

She just looked at me after that, still smiling. "I love Logan, James. But since you've shared your feelings about me, I'll share mine about you."

My heart was beating furiously, and then she leaned forward and kissed my cheek. And that was it.

"Just don't tell Logan," she growled, and walked back out into the lobby.
